Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG takes center stage at the Venice Film Festival with a star-worthy label

The Consortium for the Protection of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG returns to the stage at the Venice Lido. As the official sparkling wine of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival – La Biennale di Venezia, it will present a special limited-edition label for its bottles, which will be featured at all official events at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival.

“The Company of the Stars,” the evocative title of the label, evokes the idea of a theater company, made up of several iconic elements: gondoliers, cameras, movie stars, and, of course, the sparkling Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

But at the Lido, from August 27th to September 6th, another company will shine and make the Denomination shine. A veritable team of storytellers will recount the days of the Festival through their own unique style. For ten days, lo-fi director Fabio Persico, with his trademark irony; Alessio De Santa with his ever-present insights from the Festival; Carlotta Berti with her unmistakable Venetian touch; and Mery Saporito, live sketching artist, will create a unique narrative of the event, whose common thread will be Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG. Giorgio Pasotti, ambassador of the Consortium, will also be present at the opening night of the Festival.

The “live” narrative will intertwine with the virtual one, creating a shareable digital experience. This time, the audience will be the protagonist: visitors to the Festival (and even users at home) will be able to take photos with “special effects.” By scanning a QR code posted on the Consortium’s digital channels, they will see a giant bottle of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG, created using augmented reality, appear in their photos.

The initiative will be launched with a teaser video posted on the Consortium’s social media profiles, showing the bottle, like a true diva, sailing across the Venice Lagoon aboard a water taxi and arriving at the Lido, ready for the red carpet.

“We are thrilled to reaffirm our connection with such a prestigious event,” says Franco Adami, President of the Consortium for the Protection of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG. “This year, we wanted to strengthen our narrative and transcend reality, offering the public an immersive experience that allows them to experience the lightness and excellence of our product. Every visitor will be able to photograph our bottle throughout the Lido like a true star. It’s a way to celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of Venice, our region, and cinema as a unique form of storytelling, bringing Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG directly into visitors’ photographs.”
