November 2025 marks a turning point for Cantine Torrevento, the Corato-based winery, which announces the repurchase of 51% of its shares from Prosit Group S.p.A. With this transaction, the Apulian winery regains 100% ownership, opening a new chapter in its history.
Cantine Torrevento: Focus on Identity, Authenticity, and International Markets
The return to full ownership is part of a strategic evolution aimed at strengthening the Torrevento brand and its labels in both domestic and international markets.
The winery is committed to producing wines that express Puglia’s authenticity, territorial identity, and supply chain traceability, thanks to its own vineyards.

Who Is Prosit Group and Its Role in Italian Wine
Founded in 2018, Prosit Group was created to tackle the challenges of Italian wine in an increasingly competitive global market through an innovative business model. The group’s goal is to develop strong, recognizable, and territorial brands, enhancing the uniqueness of individual wineries within a premium-positioned “Wine-Country” offering.
This model focused on aggregating typical Italian wineries in Veneto, Abruzzo, Tuscany, Puglia, and Lombardy to compete effectively on the international stage. After Cantine Torrevento’s exit (Puglia), Prosit’s portfolio now includes four wineries:
- Cantina di Montalcino (Tuscany)
- Nestore Bosco (Abruzzo)
- Tenuta di Collalbrigo (Veneto)
- Casa Vinicola Caldirola (Lombardy)
A Strategic Move for an Icon of Apulian Wine
Francesco Liantonio, President of Cantine Torrevento, commented on what is a strategic operation for the Apulian winery:
“I thank the entire Prosit Group management for sharing and completing this transaction, as well as for the experience of these past years—always based on mutual respect and collaboration.”
With this decision, Torrevento reaffirms its commitment to investing in the quality of Apulian wines, continuing to represent one of the region’s most recognizable names in the Italian and international wine scene.
