The Board of Directors of Terroirs & Vignerons de Champagne (TEVC), the group that brings together Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte, Champagne Castelnau, Champagne Abelé 1757 and Champagne Henriot, announces the appointment of Philippe Dessertenne as the new CEO of the Group. He succeeds Christophe Juarez, who has led TEVC and Nicolas Feuillatte since 2017 and will retire as of March 1, 2026. Speaking from Chouilly, President Éric Potié acknowledged Juarez’s contribution with words of appreciation: “We thank Christophe Juarez for his agile operational management during the diversification process of the brand portfolio. He has also contributed significantly to the company’s international development.”

Philippe Dessertenne: an international and cooperative profile to lead the new phase of Terroirs & Vignerons de Champagne
Aged 56, the son of Burgundy farmers, with dual training in agronomy and a master’s degree in commerce, marketing, management and finance, Philippe Dessertenne brings over 25 years of experience gained in the agri‑food supply chains and in services to the agricultural world. Since 2022, he has headed the agricultural cooperative group LORCA, after holding strategic positions within the Avril Group and at Unilever, where he took on responsibilities in trade marketing, large‑scale distribution and sales management.
Commenting on his appointment, Éric Potié stated: “We are pleased to welcome Philippe Dessertenne to the TEVC Group. The various general management positions he has held and his deep knowledge of the cooperative model represent an unquestionable asset in supporting our members and our collaborators in the development and operational implementation of the Group’s strategy.”
Philippe Dessertenne will officially take office on March 3, working from TEVC’s headquarters in Chouilly.
TEVC: the largest Union of cooperatives in Champagne
TEVC is today the most important Union of cooperatives in Champagne, with almost 6,000 winegrowers, more than eighty‑two cooperatives and over 2,500 hectares of vineyards. Among its flagship brands stands Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte, number one in the French market and the third‑largest Champagne brand in the world by volume.
Founded in 1972, the Union began a strengthening process through targeted acquisitions: Abelé 1757, the fifth‑oldest Maison in Reims, joined the group in 2019; on December 31, 2021, an alliance was signed with the Coopérative Régionale des Vins de Champagne, owner of Champagne Castelnau; and in 2023, Champagne Henriot, founded in 1808, was acquired.
This trajectory has reinforced a cooperative model that today integrates iconic brands and the production chain, consolidating TEVC as one of the most influential players in Champagne.
An appointment that opens a new chapter for Champagne and for the group uniting Nicolas Feuillatte, Castelnau, Abelé 1757 and Henriot
The arrival of Philippe Dessertenne marks the beginning of a new strategic phase for TEVC. His background combines managerial expertise, deep agricultural roots and an in‑depth knowledge of the cooperative model. These qualities appear perfectly aligned with the Group’s mission: developing its brands, supporting winegrowers, strengthening cooperative identity and facing the evolution of international markets with solidity.
His appointment opens a new chapter in the governance of a group which, through the enhancement of terroirs, the strength of the cooperative model and the prestige of its Maisons, confirms itself as a key player destined to shape the present and future of Champagne.
