The Consorzio Italia del Vino has reached the milestone of its first 15 years, reconfirming Roberta Corrà as president until 2027. Despite the challenges posed by the current global context, the organization that brings together 25 prestigious leading companies in the sector in Italy, with a total turnover exceeding one and a half billion euros and an export share equal to approximately 15% of the national sector figure, looks to the future with new initiatives, focusing on training and common values and continuing to believe in the strength of the Italian wine sector. The Wine Business School, a new project that aims to respond to the needs of the sector, will start in 2025.
The Wine Business School of the Consorzio Italia del Vino is born, Roberta Corrà president until 2027
Italia del Vino Wine Business School will start next year, a training course that aims to combine the skills provided by important scientific and university organizations with the specificities of the production fabric and the needs of the market, as announced during the traditional Christmas toast by the president of the Consortium Roberta Corrà, who was reconfirmed this year in the role until 2027.
“The biggest news of 2025 for the Consortium Italia del Vino will be the activation of Italia del Vino Wine Business School, of which we are the creators and organizers. An interesting training project on viticulture and oenology, with particular attention to marketing, communication of wine and the territory, which in addition to the theoretical part also includes a period of internship in the associated companies. The aim is to discover talent, connecting supply and demand for the benefit of both. At the end of the training course, the five best students will receive a fixed-term employment offer, lasting one year”.

In addition to the Wine Business School, for the coming year the Consorzio Italia del Vino has planned research on emerging markets and new consumer trends, proposing itself as a privileged observatory for trends in the wine sector.
The global economic context remains in a state of uncertainty. However, in 2024, Italian wine imports remained stable in many markets, with some categories recording positive performances.
Italian sparkling wines, for example, have seen significant increases compared to the first nine months of 2023: +2% in value and +4.4% in volume. In particular, in France and Australia, growth is approaching or exceeding double-digit percentages in both value and volume. Despite a slight overall decline, the USA has recorded increases of +4.2% in value and +2% in volume for bottled still and sparkling wines.
With the initiatives implemented, which aim to create new skills, and thanks to an in-depth analysis of the data, the Consorzio Italia del Vino – composed of Angelini Estates, Banfi, Bisol, Cà Maiol, Collis Heritage, Di Majo Norante, Diesel Farm, Drei Donà, Duca di Salaparuta, Ferrari F.lli Lunelli, Gruppo Italiano Vini, Gruppo Mezzacorona, Le Monde, Librandi Antonio e Nicodemo, Lunae Bosoni, Marchesi di Barolo, Medici Ermete & Figli, Mesa, Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo, Tenimenti Leone, Terre de La Custodia, Terredora di Paolo, Torrevento, Zaccagnini and Zonin1821 – demonstrates that, even in times of uncertainty, the Italian wine sector can grow and look to the future with confidence and determination.
