Alsace wines take centre stage at Wine Paris 2026: 104 exhibitors, masterclasses, tastings and signature pairings

The 2026 edition of Wine Paris marks a new milestone for Alsace wine. From 9 to 11 February, 104 wineries and wine estates will be present at Porte de Versailles – the highest number ever – confirming the energy and dynamism that define the Alsatian vineyard today. This strong presence further reinforces the region’s role as one of France’s most vibrant and distinctive territories for the production of white wines and Crémant.

Throughout the entire event, trade professionals and wine lovers will have the opportunity to meet the Civa – Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace, which will take centre stage with training events and tastings.

On Wednesday 11 February, from 10 to 11am, in Room 3 of Pavilion 4, the masterclass “Wine crisis: why focus on Alsace?” will be held, led by Thierry Fritsch, oenologist and head of training at Civa. The session will be in French with audio translation, open to all and without the need for registration.

Alongside the educational programme, the Civa stand (Pavilion 7.3 – A177) will feature a selection of 90 wines available for free tasting, designed to showcase Alsace’s ability to interpret contemporary trends: aromatic expression, varietal purity, freshness and longevity. The Tasting Avenue will also return – located in Pavilion 7.3 – with 65 Alsace wines, offering a further expression of the region’s diversity.

Iwsc selection and international focus on Alsatian quality

The 2026 edition also aims to highlight the region’s qualitative profile. In collaboration with Iwsc, one of the leading international wine-industry organizations, a dedicated selection of labels has been created, chosen by a jury made up of three key figures on the global scene: Maggie MacPherson, buyer for the Jeroboams group; Eric Zwiebel MS, the United Kingdom’s Best Sommelier; and Sarah Abbott MW, journalist and specialist writer.

A triangle of expertise that confirms how Alsace is increasingly recognised as a land of elegance and authenticity.

Alsace meets Japan: “Japan” pop‑up restaurant returns to Wine Paris

To celebrate the exceptional participation of Alsace wines at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Wine Paris is once again hosting the temporary “Japan” restaurant within the area dedicated to the Vini d’Alsazia (Pavilion 7.3).

Guests will be able to enjoy refined pairings featuring a selection of Alsace wines and the cuisine of chef Tino Singharaj, French sushi champion 2024, who will offer a contemporary interpretation of the encounter between Japanese style and Alsatian finesse.

Alsace at the main European wine events

The Alsace presence at Wine Paris is part of a calendar filled with key events.

After Millésime Bio (26-28 January, Montpellier), which saw the participation of more than 42 wineries, confirming Alsace’s pioneering role in organic and biodynamic production, the next stop is Wine Paris 2026, followed by ProWein (15-17 March, Düsseldorf), where around fifteen exhibitors will be present – a selected yet strategic representation.
