Antica Bottega del Vino, from Verona to Cortina d’Ampezzo in view of the 2026 Olympics

Antica Bottega del Vino arrives in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The well-known location is preparing to become the world capital of winter sports with the next Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2026. In this context of strong development, the historic Veronese restaurant owned by Famiglie Storiche and a bastion of wine culture in the city, announces an important investment: the opening of a new restaurant in the historic center of the Queen of the Dolomites, scheduled for the 2025-2026 winter season.

Antica Bottega del Vino: a story of tradition

Famous for its record-breaking wine list – considered among the 96 best in the world and awarded for the twenty-first consecutive year with the Grand Award by Wine Spectator – Antica Bottega del Vino is owned by ten Historic Families, custodians of the Amarone winemaking tradition (Allegrini, Begali, Brigaldara, Masi, Musella, Speri, Tedeschi, Tenuta Sant’Antonio, Tommasi and Zenato).

Its wine list now includes around 21,000 references with a great depth of vintages, making it a model of excellence and exclusivity that wine lovers from all over the world will soon be able to appreciate in the heart of the Dolomites.

“This investment represents an important opportunity for our company,” explains Sabrina Tedeschi, President of Antica Bottega del Vino. “The restaurant in Cortina will be the international showcase of excellence to tell and promote the tradition of what is considered by many to be a cornerstone of Venetian food and wine.”

Cortina prepares for the 2026 Olympics

The opening comes at a time of great excitement for the Ampezzo location that is becoming the new Italian “place to be” in view of the future Olympics. Today, the city is already hosting the completion of important redevelopment works on sports infrastructure and those intended for prestigious hospitality, as well as numerous road projects that will make the Pearl of the Dolomites the hub of mountain and sports hospitality in the coming years.

“We are thrilled to bring the historical legacy of one of the reference points for food and wine in the city of Verona to a prestigious center like Cortina which, with the 2026 Olympics, will be in the spotlight of the entire world,” commented director Luca Nicolis. “The new venue will be a true extension of the Veronese experience: the same guarantee and security that have made the Antica Bottega del Vino famous will be proposed in a different setting: continuity is the key.”
