Banfi has a new importer in the UK: it is Hallgarten & Novum Wines

One of the icons of Brunello di Montalcino changes pace on the UK market. The announcement comes directly from the historic Montalcino company, with Banfi having decided to rely on a new importer specializing in wines in the United Kingdom. A company undergoing strong expansion, Hallgarten & Novum Wines will exclusively represent the entire portfolio, coordinating its distribution in all channels, on and off trade, across the Channel.

“At Banfi we are thrilled about the new partnership, in the United Kingdom, with Hallgarten & Novum Wines”, underlines Cristina Mariani-May, CEO of Banfi. “We can’t wait to start working together to introduce our fine wines to their many customers. Research, innovation and hospitality are in our DNA, and we are certain that with Hallgarten Wines we will continue our journey to build a better world of wine”.

With over 90 years of experience, it imports producers’ references from around the world, supplying the high-end On and Off Trade across the Channel.

In 2018, the company achieved Iso 14001 certification for its commitment to minimising its environmental impact, as well as successfully meeting all the criteria to achieve Silver Investors in People certification in 2023.

Regarding the new partnership with one of the iconic brands of Brunello di Montalcino, but not only, Jim Wilson, director of Hallgarten Wines, comments:

“I was absolutely fascinated when I first tasted Banfi wines: exceptional quality, that’s really the only way to describe them. To say I’m delighted to welcome them to our portfolio would be an understatement; I’m sure they will be met with great enthusiasm at our annual tasting in January. The addition of Banfi is part of the project to expand the portfolio of Italian brands, with the aim of adding greater breadth and depth in the key regions of the country”.
