Berlucchi Franciacorta reaffirms its leadership not only in producing exceptional sparkling wines but also in its commitment to concrete, measurable environmental and social practices. The newly published 2024 Sustainability Report outlines a journey defined by numbers and actions, including self-consumption of solar energy, greener transport solutions, and gender equality initiatives—marking a decisive step toward a more responsible future, both inside and beyond the glass.
Clean Energy: Solar Power on the Rise at Berlucchi Franciacorta
The report highlights a significant achievement on the energy front: self-consumption of solar energy has nearly doubled, rising from 500,000 kWh in 2023 to 830,000 kWh in 2024. This increase boosts energy demand coverage from 18% to 29%, confirming Berlucchi’s commitment to increasingly rely on self-produced renewable energy.
Lower Emissions and Greener Transport
In terms of emissions, 2024 saw a reduction in total CO₂ from 8,100 to 7,400 tons. Particularly noteworthy is the halving of transport-related emissions, which dropped from 1,550 to 770 tons. This result demonstrates the effectiveness of the measures implemented and is further validated by ITA.CA Certification—a guarantee of transparency and rigor in environmental monitoring. Waste management also improved: the share sent for recycling rose from 62% to 73%.
Berlucchi Franciacorta: Conscious Choices in the Vineyard
The Berlucchi Sustainable Viticulture Protocol continues to guide the company’s agronomic decisions, adopting practices that respect biodiversity and natural cycles, reduce soil impact, and safeguard the territory.

Future Goals: FSC Certification and Gender Equality
Looking ahead, Berlucchi aims to achieve FSC certification for materials, in line with the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and is working with suppliers to increase the use of recycled and certified materials. On the social front, the company has already begun the process toward Gender Equality Certification, implementing concrete actions to measure and improve internal performance.
This commitment confirms that for Berlucchi, sustainability is not just a goal but an integrated strategy embracing environment, territory, and people.
