Bisol1542 looks to the future of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and signs a milestone destined to leave its mark on the denomination. The historic winery from Treviso is in fact the first producer in Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG to introduce a Coquard press, a technology considered a benchmark in the most prestigious sparkling‑wine regions of France. A strategic investment that confirms the company’s pioneering spirit and its commitment to continually raising the qualitative standards of the denomination.
Bisol1542 and a choice that looks beyond the present
The arrival of the new press, expected by the end of July, is part of an innovation journey that has always defined the history of Bisol1542.
This is not an isolated development, but the latest step in a long‑term vision that has led the company to introduce solutions capable of anticipating the evolution of both the market and the denomination itself.
From the creation of the first Prosecco Superiore Brut—at a time when the market was dominated almost exclusively by Dry and Extra Dry styles—to I Gondolieri, the first Prosecco Superiore with the minimum alcohol level permitted by the production code, Bisol1542 has built its identity around the ability to innovate without losing its connection to the territory.
Coquard technology lands in Valdobbiadene
The Coquard press is one of the most advanced tools for processing grapes destined for sparkling‑wine production.
Designed to handle up to 120 quintals of hand‑harvested whole‑cluster grapes, it enables an extremely soft and delicate pressing. The process takes place without destemming or crushing, allowing the stems to act as a natural filter and helping obtain clearer, better‑preserved musts.
The expected result is a raw material capable of preserving the aromatic heritage of the grapes even more faithfully, contributing to wines with greater finesse, elegance, and harmony.
In a territory where quality is born from the balance between heroic viticulture and production precision, the introduction of this technology marks a significant step in the ongoing evolution of Prosecco Superiore.
Bisol1542 is the first Prosecco Superiore DOCG winery equipped with a Coquard press—an investment aimed at elevating quality in Valdobbiadene.

A signal for the entire denomination: the vision of Bisol1542
This decision is part of the path undertaken after the company joined the Lunelli Group, aimed at strengthening quality, sustainability, and the promotion of territorial excellence.
Matteo Bruno Lunelli, President of Bisol1542 and CEO of the Lunelli Group, explains the meaning of the investment:
“The introduction of the Coquard press is part of the broader programme of investments and innovation launched with Bisol1542’s entry into the Lunelli Group. We believe that quality is born first and foremost from respect for the raw material and from the ability to enhance it through the best technologies available. Being the first to introduce this solution in Valdobbiadene confirms our commitment to continue investing in the future of Prosecco Superiore, in full respect of the identity and uniqueness of its territory. A commitment that today is also reflected in important international recognitions, such as the recent Conegliano Valdobbiadene Producer Trophy awarded to Bisol1542 at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, a prize that highlights the excellence and consistent quality of our entire range.”

The new press will be used for the production of the entire Bisol1542 range and will also become a visible symbol of the company’s investment. Finished in the iconic Bisol green, it will stand as a concrete sign of the desire to improve every stage of production, from grape harvesting to the glass. The operation therefore takes on a meaning that goes beyond the technical aspect. In a competitive context where Prosecco Superiore is increasingly called to strengthen its qualitative positioning, Bisol1542 chooses to invest in a technology previously absent from the denomination, opening a new path and reaffirming the role the winery has historically played as a laboratory of innovation in the heart of the Valdobbiadene hills.
