Col Vetoraz shines in New York at Sip of Italy with the Valdobbiadene Docg Superiore di Cartizze

Col Vetoraz will fly to New York on September 10 to participate in Sip of Italy, the first event exclusively dedicated to Italian wines, organized by the prestigious American magazine Wine Enthusiast. This event represents an exclusive showcase for high-quality wines, and Col Vetoraz was selected among only 50 Italian wineries to take part in this event. During the event, Col Vetoraz will present the Valdobbiadene Docg Superiore di Cartizze, a wine that obtained an excellent score of 93 points from the critics of Wine Enthusiast. This recognition underlines the exceptional quality of the wine and the prestige of the company in the international wine scene.

About the Valdobbiadene Docg Superiore di Cartizze by Col Vetoraz

The Valdobbiadene Docg Superiore di Cartizze signed by Col Vetoraz is produced with grapes grown on soils rich in clay, marl and sandstone. These soils give the wine an extraordinary concentration of aromas and a notable salinity, making it particularly velvety and aromatic. The perlage is fine and elegant, and the intense aroma of the wine presents a refined combination of flowers and ripe fruit. Coming from the best vineyards located in the Cartizze area, whose limited extension allows only a limited production, this sparkling wine is a true symbol of quality and refinement.

Loris Dall’Acqua, CEO and winemaker of Col Vetoraz, expresses his pride for this opportunity to participate in Sip of Italy:

“We are proud of this important opportunity, a further confirmation that, thanks to our work, we are on the right path to continue to be ambassadors of the excellence of Valdobbiadene Docg in the world.”

Located in the heart of the Valdobbiadene DOCG, the Col Vetoraz winery is located at almost 400 meters above sea level, at the highest point of the hill of the same name, part of the famous Cartizze hills. It is precisely here that the Miotto family settled in 1838, developing vine cultivation from the beginning.

In 1993 Francesco Miotto, descendant of this family, together with the agronomist Paolo De Bortoli and the oenologist Loris Dall’Acqua gave life to the current Col Vetoraz, a small winery that has been able to innovate and grow and achieve in just 25 years the pinnacle of Valdobbiadene Docg production both in quantitative and qualitative terms.

Great respect for tradition, deep love for the territory, extreme care of the vineyards and a scrupulous methodology of the production chain and the production of great cuvées: these are the secrets that over the years have allowed Col Vetoraz to obtain excellent wines and flattering results for most prestigious national and international wine competitions.
