Col Vetoraz strengthens its positioning among the leading names in Italian and international sparkling wine: the winery in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene closes a new season of recognition, with national awards and results in major international competitions, reinforcing the value of its Valdobbiadene DOCG wines on global markets. A path that confirms the centrality of territorial identity, production consistency and the ability to interpret the contemporary, transforming heritage into a strategic lever.
The history of Col Vetoraz traces its roots back to 1838, with the Miotto family, and has developed to become one of the reference points of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG denomination. In just over thirty years, the company has built a business model capable of combining tradition and vision, enhancing the territory without renouncing an international positioning.
This is underlined by Francesca Miotto, communication and marketing manager of Col Vetoraz:
“These important achievements represent the natural evolution of a path made of history, commitment, sacrifice and courage. A journey guided by a deep sensitivity towards our origins and by a constant attention to communicating authentically our profound identity. Values that, every day, are expressed and fulfilled in the Valdobbiadene DOCG wines that we bring to the world.”

The success of the winery is based on a production model that keeps the territory at its core, through direct management of the supply chain and a strong focus on quality. Located at nearly 400 meters above sea level, at the highest point of the Valdobbiadene hill, the company produces each year more than 1.25 million bottles selected from over 2.3 million kilograms of DOCG grapes vinified.
An approach that combines agronomic care, production rigor and attention to the construction of cuvées, elements that over the years have driven constant growth and international recognisability. The results achieved in 2026 represent confirmation of an entrepreneurial vision that works on continuity and evolution.
In Italy, Only Gold Medals
At the national level, Col Vetoraz stands out for a constant presence at the top of the main competitions.
At the National Competition of Pramaggiore, the company received the Oscar d’Oro, an award given to the winery with the highest number of wines awarded at national level.
This result is accompanied by the Gold Medals awarded to the 2025 vintages of all sparkling wine references for the Veneto Region, confirming the widespread quality of the production.
The absolute first prize obtained at the Wine Competition of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Exhibition of Miane and the two Gold Medals won at the 54th Cartizze and Valdobbiadene DOCG Exhibition of San Pietro di Barbozza complete a picture that strengthens the winery’s territorial leadership.
International Recognition for Col Vetoraz
Alongside the Italian results, the global positioning of the brand also clearly emerges.
The German publication Merum awarded three hearts to Valdobbiadene DOCG Extra Brut Cuvée 5 and Valdobbiadene DOCG Brut Coste di Levante, while two hearts were assigned to Valdobbiadene DOCG Extra Brut Cuvée Ø.
From the IWSC 2026 competition, three Silver Medals and significant scores arrived: 91 points for Valdobbiadene DOCG Superiore di Cartizze 2025 and 90 points for Brut Coste di Levante 2025 and Extra Dry Coste di Ponente 2025.
These results confirm the ability of Col Vetoraz sparkling wines to compete in the most selective contexts, strengthening the perceived value of the denomination.
