Tuscan winery ColleMassari is pleased to become the Official Wine Supplier of Alinghi Red Bull Racing, the Swiss challenger competing for the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona, having won the Auld Mug twice before in 2003 and 2007.
ColleMassari’s wines will be featured in all team events, beginning with the inauguration of the team’s training base in Barcelona on the 20th of September. The partnership will then continue throughout 2024 to the Cup racing itself.
The idea of the collaboration stems from the common values of the two entities: expertise, passion, team spirit, innovation and heritage. Claudio Tipa, one of the founders of the wine group, states, “The passion for sailing has been ingrained in our family for decades. Sailing, just like winemaking, requires great sensitivity to the environment around us. Observing changing weather conditions, making decisions in adverse situations and honoring nature are required both on the sea and among the vines.”

The launch of a limited-edition rosé dedicated to the Swiss team Alinghi Red Bull Racing seals partnership for the 37th America’s Cup
In honor of the team and its participation in the 2024 edition of the oldest sailing competition in the world, ColleMassari has launched a new limited edition wine called Celebrating The Challenge. As the name suggests, this rosé, produced only in large formats, will be dedicated to Alinghi Red Bull Racing and its moments of celebration. A fresh, savory and round rosé with Mediterranean charm and intense character, it is the result of fermentation and barrel aging for nine months.
The partnership will be articulated in multiple international initiatives dedicated to the press, trade and end consumers. The Tuscan winery will support the team with exclusive initiatives and dedicated corners at some of the most important events for the boating world, such as the Genoa Boat Show and the Italian Yacht Masters, and at major wine fairs such as Vinitaly and ProWein. Through pop-ups and dedicated evenings at a select chain of wine shops, wine lovers can also discover the world of ColleMassari wines and take part in the Alinghi Red Bull Racing adventure.
About ColleMassari
The ColleMassari winery was established in 1998, following the purchase of the castle of the same name by the Tipa Bertarelli family. The development of the company has been accompanied from the beginning by the founding of the Montecucco DOC in 1998.
The qualitative growth of the DOC has seen since 2011 the recognition of the DOCG for Montecucco Sangiovese. Today the estate has a Resort and more than 120 hectares of vineyards that extend in one of the most vocated areas of the Maremma, on the slopes of Mount Amiata, oriented toward the Tyrrhenian coast at 320 meters above sea level. Current production accounts to 600 thousand bottles of wine obtained mainly from native varieties, including vermentino and sangiovese.
From the very beginning, certified organic farming principles have been applied at the estate. The criteria of bio-architecture were also followed in the construction of the winery with the organization of winemaking on several levels with full respect for the wine, the environment and the land.
