For the third consecutive year, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG has returned to the Venice Lido as Official Sparkling Wine of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, reaffirming a partnership that increasingly transcends sponsorship. What began in 2024 as a visual and conceptual journey linked to a series of limited-edition labels has now evolved into a broader cultural platform, where wine, art, gastronomy, territory and cinema converge in a single narrative. Through immersive artistic projects, exclusive culinary experiences and cinematic initiatives, the denomination has strengthened its presence at one of the world’s most prestigious cultural events.
A Third Consecutive Year at the Heart of the Biennale Cinema
The 2026 edition marks the completion of a three-year storytelling project developed by the Consorzio di Tutela Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG. Throughout the Festival, the denomination’s limited-edition consortium bottles have once again played a central role during official Biennale Cinema moments, reinforcing the visibility of Italy’s leading Prosecco Superiore denomination within an international cultural setting.
According to Consorzio President Franco Adami, the relationship between wine and cinema is rooted in a shared capacity to transform creativity into emotion. Just as every film is unique, every vintage reflects a distinct combination of climate, territory and human expertise. Bringing Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG to the Venice Lido therefore becomes a celebration of craftsmanship, storytelling and beauty expressed through different artistic languages.
Greg Goya Brings Interactive Art to the Venice Lido
One of the most distinctive elements of this year’s participation was the collaboration with Greg Goya, internationally known for his fast art approach and highly participatory installations.
At the Santa Maria Elisabetta waterfront, the artist unveiled I Will Always Be Cheering for You, a live artwork conceived specifically for the Venice Film Festival. The installation took the form of a globe composed of glass tesserae with golden edges, drawing inspiration from both the celebrated glassmaking tradition of Murano and the territory of Conegliano Valdobbiadene.
Visitors were invited to become active participants in the creative process by writing names and personal messages directly onto the spherical surface, dedicating a symbolic toast and a word of encouragement to someone they wished to continue celebrating. The result transformed a static artwork into a collective expression of connection, optimism and shared experiences.
A Gastronomic Journey Through the Venetian Lagoon
The denomination also extended its presence beyond the Festival venues through an exclusive lagoon experience designed for a select group of influencers. On board the historic vessel Edipo Re, guests embarked from Riva Corinto towards Poveglia Island, where a special tasting lunch curated by chef Riccardo Canella awaited them.
Canella, whose professional experience includes both Noma in Copenhagen and Cipriani, created a gastronomic experience designed to showcase the versatility and identity of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG within an exceptional Venetian setting.
Alongside the influencer activation, cinema-focused content creator Alessio De Santa returned for a second consecutive year to act as a bridge between audiences and the Festival atmosphere, sharing stories, emotions and behind-the-scenes moments from the Lido while highlighting the role of the denomination within the broader cultural event.

Cinema Heritage Meets Wine Through Renato Casaro
Among the most important cultural initiatives of the 2026 program was the presentation of Renato Casaro – Treviso, Roma, Hollywood, a new documentary produced in collaboration with Lupin Film.
The project retraces the extraordinary career of Renato Casaro, widely regarded as one of the most influential movie poster artists in cinematic history. Through thousands of iconic posters that shaped the visual identity of international cinema for decades, Casaro’s work became part of the collective imagination of generations of filmgoers.
The teaser premiere took place at the Veneto Region spaces within the Hotel Excelsior, attended by director Alessandro Pondi and producer Riccardo Neri, adding another dimension to the dialogue between wine culture and cinematic heritage fostered by the Consorzio.
The Official Toasts of the Venice Film Festival
As tradition dictates, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG remained at the center of the Festival’s most prestigious celebrations, from the opening dinner to the closing gala. Consorzio Director Diego Tomasi represented the denomination throughout the institutional events, reinforcing its role within the official framework of the Biennale Cinema.
The wines were served at the Terrazza del Palazzo del Cinema, the Palazzo del Casinò Restaurant and La Terrazza Biennale, all venues managed by renowned chef Tino Vettorello. For the occasion, Vettorello created a special dish named Red Carpet, conceived specifically to accompany the denomination.
Fourteen historic member wineries were featured throughout the Festival venues: Agostinetto, Andreola, Bisol1574, Bival, Borgo Antico, Bortolomiol, Cantine Maschio, Col Vetoraz, Divigna, Ruggeri, Santa Margherita, Sui Nui, Val d’Oca and Valdo. Together, they represented the diversity and excellence of one of Italy’s most prestigious sparkling wine territories.
A Strategic Cultural Platform Beyond Sponsorship
More than a simple event partnership, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG’s presence at the Venice Film Festival has evolved into a sophisticated cultural platform that connects the denomination with contemporary art, haute cuisine, cinema and storytelling.
By weaving together artistic installations, lagoon experiences, film heritage projects and official Festival celebrations, the Consorzio has demonstrated how a wine denomination can position itself not merely as a product, but as an ambassador of territory, creativity and Italian excellence. At the Venice Lido, the story of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG continues to unfold, one toast, one artwork and one cinematic moment at a time.
