The 2024 vintage of Etichetta Nera, the flagship Vermentino of Lvnae, the winery of the Bosoni family and a symbol of the Colli di Luni, on the border between Liguria and Tuscany, debuted on international markets at the beginning of April.
Where Etichetta Nera di Lvnae was born
“Released for the first time in 1992,” says Diego Bosoni, “this Vermentino is the result of years of study, research and observation and has never stopped expressing in the glass all the passion and deep respect that we have for this unique and precious territory”.
Etichetta Nera is born in the company’s “highest” Vermentino rows, at about 300 meters above sea level, in the area where the slope is steepest and most difficult. Here the soil is ancient, rich in skeleton, characterized by different types of stones, with a prevalence of clay and sandstone, extremely draining. The rows must carve out space on the side of the mountain by climbing up narrow terraces while a unique microclimate, characterized by the perfect combination of exposure and ventilation, gives voice to the best qualitative expressions of the vine.

The bunches of the 2024 harvest, hand-picked between September 2 and 16, were taken to the Lvnae cellar, a contemporary architecture, inaugurated in 2023.
“Our cellar was designed to celebrate the relationship between land and man, and to be a tribute to Vermentino and the Colli di Luni”, explains Diego Bosoni. “It was designed both to give a home to our wines, but also with the intent of having spaces for research and exploration of new winemaking projects and, last but not least, to create beauty with our work and produce wine with an approach that combines logic and sensitivity, concrete gestures and subtle energies”.
Etichetta Nera 2024 has been available on the market since the beginning of April. It can be found in the best wine shops and restaurants and can also be tasted at the company in the new Ostaia Ca’ Lvnae, a space open for lunch and snacks where you can pair Lvnae wines with traditional local dishes, reinterpreted by chef Matteo Domenichini.
