Ferrari Trento renews its dialogue with art through a project that brings together creativity, history, and the identity of its territory. Starting June 18, at Palazzo Reale in Milan, Ferrari Perlé Nero Riserva becomes a true work of art thanks to the intervention of Paolo Troilo, an artist known for his hyper‑realistic figurative painting created exclusively with his fingers. The Magnum, transformed into a full‑round sculpture, becomes part of “The Breach. The Wall Breaks the Silence,” a site‑specific exhibition that weaves together past and contemporary elements within the rooms of the Appartamento di Riserva. An encounter that celebrates Ferrari Trento’s ability to express its excellence through new artistic languages while preserving its deep connection with beauty and Italian culture.
A unique artwork: the Magnum Ferrari as a canvas
Paolo Troilo, an internationally recognized artist, chose to transform a Magnum of Ferrari Perlé Nero Riserva into his canvas. An unprecedented gesture in his body of work, born from the parallel between his technique—shaping matter with his fingers to reveal the essence of humanity—and the art that Ferrari Trento has cultivated for over a century to encapsulate excellence in every bottle.
Perlé Nero, a pure‑Pinot Noir Trentodoc from mountain vineyards, was selected precisely for its complex and bold nature. Mastering it requires precision, sensitivity, and vision—qualities shared by both the artist and the winery. Troilo’s black‑and‑white strokes, depicting Queen Margherita, wrap around the dark glass and enhance its silhouette, turning the bottle into a sculpture that interacts with the spaces of the Palazzo.
“The Breach”: when walls speak
The Magnum becomes part of “The Breach. The Wall Breaks the Silence,” a project promoted by the Municipality of Milan–Culture and organized by Palazzo Reale and Nobile Agency, curated by Marco Meneguzzo with scientific contributions from Domenico Piraina and Simone Percacciolo.
The exhibition is not a simple display but a four‑handed dialogue between Troilo and the Palazzo. Starting from the idea “if these walls could speak,” the artist brings his monochromatic figures into rooms steeped in history: the Appartamento di Riserva, visited by Napoleon, inhabited by Maria José of Belgium, and decorated by Margherita of Savoy. The artworks blend with mirrors, beds, furniture, and ancient Venetian fabrics by Rubelli, creating a narrative that crosses eras and sensibilities.
In this setting, the Perlé Nero Magnum becomes a narrative object that unites art, wine, and memory.
