A new chapter in a Valpolicella story. It begins with a white in a land of reds. A play on words and original blends of grape varieties, reminiscent of the unusual union of Garganega, Riesling Renano, and Chardonnay. GA.RY, strictly written in capital letters, is the major innovation that is brightening the 2025 season from Tedeschi, a historic family from the Classico zone on the Amarone hills. This new entry stands out not only because it expresses a desire to step outside a comfort zone, but above all because it represents a true milestone on a journey: it is the first white, a contemporary synthesis of passion and experimentation, an uncompromising label that speaks of roots and innovation, the latter a perfect synergy in the glass. GA.RY, an IGT Veneto Bianco from the 2023 harvest, presents itself with a soul that defies convention: if it was supposed to be a great debut, what has emerged is a potential iconic wine for the future of a winery with a distinguished history. A future that is already unveiled with a new image, one that today combines unique winemaking with an increasingly defined and recognizable brand identity. This project, designed by the international creative agency Hangar Design Group, is part of a transformation emblematic of the launch of GA.RY, but also reflected in the revamped label of the Valpolicella DOC Superiore Nicalò, reflecting a changing profile.
“The rebranding represents a fundamental step for us,” explains Sabrina Tedeschi, currently at the helm of the Verona-based winery alongside her siblings Antonietta and Riccardo.
“It’s not just a logo restyling or a new image, but an even stronger awareness of our identity. It’s the way we choose to present ourselves to the world, to explain that for us, making wine means studying, understanding, and protecting a land that speaks to us every day.”
“With this new look, we want to share our vision and our commitment, bringing not just a product, but the essence of our work and research everywhere.”
We’ll tell you how.

The first white wine from the Tedeschi family
Fresh and with a unique aroma, the 2023 Tedeschi GA.RY IGT Veneto Bianco is a wine that stands out above all for its versatility.
“With this new label, we want to bring a new and contemporary representation of our work to the glass, demonstrating how the art of Valpolicella winemaking can evolve without losing its connection to its roots,” explains Riccardo Tedeschi, winemaker and creator of the new creation.
An original still white, capable of surprising with a tension that develops along the subtle line between drinkability and balance, the new wine is born from the encounter between a majority Garganega component, representing 84% of the blend, and the elegance and minerality of Riesling Renano (6%), perfectly balanced by the 10% Chardonnay, which adds softness and structure. This blend, a symbol of Veronese winemaking tradition and the international horizons offered by these two complementary grape varieties, draws its name from the initials of the first two varieties and the finish of the third.
“Our goal is to narrate the ongoing dialogue between past and present, between handed-down experience and the ability to innovate with sensitivity and respect for the land,” continues Riccardo Tedeschi.
“We know that the choice to work with these grape varieties is original and unusual for a company like ours, but it is a stimulating challenge that is bringing us great satisfaction: GA.RY is a wine of character, promising great surprises for years to come.”
In fact, while it has spent eight months in bottle since the beginning, after a vinification process that aims to enhance aromatic notes and freshness, the potential it already demonstrates today heralds further evolution, capable of delivering emotions in the glass.
It is no coincidence, then, that GA.RY Igt Veneto Bianco 2023 Tedeschi comes with a screw cap closure, a technical choice that defies antiquated conventions and helps maintain the freshness and characteristic aromas of the three varieties that contribute to the blend, cared for in this sense right from the vineyard, where they are harvested by hand during the harvest in two distinct moments: early September for Chardonnay and Riesling Renano, and late in early October for Garganega.

“GA.RY opens a new chapter for our production: a bottle distinguished by its freshness and drinkability, capable of expressing elegance and harmony,” emphasizes Riccardo Tedeschi. “It is a contemporary expression of our company, designed for those seeking authenticity and uncompromising quality, elements that have always characterized the Tedeschi style.”
The new entry reveals notes of white musk, tea, flowers, and ripe yellow fruit on the nose, while on the palate it captivates with a good body, lively acidity, and elegant persistence. On the table, it is an ideal accompaniment to vegetarian dishes, fish, shellfish, molluscs, cured meats, and white meats.
The Genesis of GA.RY and the New Rebranding Project
“GA.RY is a comprehensive project that extends beyond wine, starting with its image, which is already the result of the rebranding by Hangar Design Group and which also led to refreshing the capital in our logo,” emphasizes Sabrina Tedeschi. “GA.RY thus becomes a symbol, in every detail, of the very word around which its conception revolved: change. A stepping outside our comfort zone that also reflects the evolution of the world. Consider, for example, the increasingly pressing issue of climate change, which has led us to experiment, in terms of production and consumption, with white varieties that are very different from the red grapes we were accustomed to with the classic Valpolicella wines, starting with the different versions of Amarone we offer.”
GA.RY aims to be an important wine, a white capable of meeting the evolutionary challenges that time will present. “We started with the idea of making something different from everyone else, as evidenced by the originality of the blend,” adds Riccardo Tedeschi.
While the Garganega comes from the Soave area, where the Tedeschi family has leased vineyards, the Riesling Renano of the first two vintages is a product of the Valdadige, as is the Chardonnay. “From next year, however, the Riesling Renano will come from the Maternigo vineyards, where we chose to plant it,” explains Riccardo Tedeschi.
The first vintage of GA.RY is available in 8,700 bottles.
Wine as an expression of knowledge: a new positioning for Tedeschi
“The launch of GA.RY, concurrent with the first steps of the rebranding we are promoting, outlines the increasingly precise positioning we are identifying for Tedeschi wines on the market,” continues Sabrina Tedeschi. “Our distinctiveness, already evident in the tasting experience, is evident in the distinctive character and clearly defined personality of each product. Now we want to communicate it with ever greater precision, including through a coherent narrative across media and channels.”
Tedeschi’s new image features a reimagined logo, an evolution of the historic brand, and a graphic design that combines classic aesthetics with contemporary sensibility. Warm shades of cream and burgundy complement a visual identity designed to convey elegance, expressive power, and continuity with the family legacy. This is the context in which the company’s new slogan comes to life: “Dedicated to knowledge.”

This statement summarizes a scientific approach to study and experimentation, fueled by collaborations with the University of Verona and La Sapienza University of Rome, and underscores Tedeschi’s commitment to providing an authentic interpretation of its terroir and acting as its ambassador.
“From the revised logo to the tagline ‘Dediti alla conoscenza’ (Dedicated to Knowledge), through ongoing and deepening collaborations in the vineyard with research institutes, to the launch of new products like GA.RY, these are all pieces of a commitment that involves us as a family and a company, to define our positioning even more precisely in the coming months,” adds Sabrina Tedeschi.
Valpolicella DOC Superiore Nicalò is changing its skin
Among the new developments at Tedeschi in 2025, not only is the launch of GA.RY, but also the new profile that, as part of the broader rebranding effort, is taking on one of the cornerstone wines of a family and a winery whose roots date back to 1630: Valpolicella DOC Superiore Nicalò.
It now features a fresher image, consistent with the new corporate identity, capable of expressing even more forcefully the personality of the terroir and its grapes, enhancing their distinctive character and enhancing their personality.
“Valpolicella DOC Superiore Nicalò is one of our historic wines, which until the 2021 vintage was made with a light drying process of about a month,” explains Antonietta Tedeschi. Starting with the 2022 vintage, we eliminated this step in a more general effort that also led to a revision of the label: previously, the image depicted the evolution of the grape following its slight drying, while today a bunch of grapes in watercolor tones defines the wine’s profile, both inside and outside the bottle. Indeed, it conveys its freshness and contemporary character in the glass.

A wine made from Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and other traditional varietals grown on the moraine hills of Valpolicella, Valpolicella DOC Superiore Nicalò embodies a contemporary style, suited to everyday drinking. A fruity and smooth wine, with a refreshing and drinkable character, suitable for all meals, its name encapsulates the family history: a tribute to an ancestor of the Tedeschi brothers who lived in the 19th century. Niccolò was an imposing figure and so well-known in the village that his descendants and family are still known locally as the Nicalòs.
“The new Valpolicella DOC Superiore Nicalò aims to showcase freshness on the nose and on the palate,” concludes Riccardo Tedeschi. “It’s a wine for a thousand occasions, both in terms of food pairings and ideal drinking moments. Today, compared to a past that saw it revolve around the cornerstones of tannins and structure, it is a red built more on freshness and acidity.”
A turning point for the Tedeschi family and its wines, one that already speaks to the future.
