Lake Garda is preparing to shine the spotlight once again on the Garda Doc with the new edition of Garda Wine Stories, scheduled from June 3 to 5. The press tour, promoted by the Garda Doc Consortium, will welcome national and international media for three days of meetings, tastings and in‑depth sessions dedicated to the identity, innovation and future perspectives of the denomination.
After the success of Vinitaly, the Consortium is strengthening its positioning strategy by focusing on key themes such as low alcohol, versatility and new consumption trends. The core of the program will be the technical conference on June 4 at the Dogana Veneta in Lazise, alongside experiential moments across the territory, from the walk‑around tasting at the Rocca di Lonato to the final masterclass dedicated to sensory innovation.
Strategies, markets and new trends: a conference that looks ahead
On June 4, the Dogana Veneta in Lazise will host the conference “Garda Doc: growth strategies and perception in international markets. Low alcohol, versatility and new consumption trends.” The event is designed to analyze the denomination’s performance and explore the dynamics of foreign markets, with dedicated insights on the United Kingdom and Germany thanks to contributions from international observers.
In this context, Consortium President Paolo Fiorini highlights how addressing the topic of low alcohol today means clearly understanding the evolution of global demand. More and more consumers are seeking contemporary, versatile wines aligned with a more mindful approach to drinking. Garda Doc, the first denomination to include this category in its production regulations, reaffirms a pioneering choice that combines innovation, territorial identity and new opportunities for producers.

Experiences across the territory: tastings and immersive encounters at Garda Wine Stories 2026
Alongside the technical content, Garda Wine Stories confirms its experiential soul. On the afternoon of June 4, the Rocca di Lonato will host a walk‑around tasting with the wineries of the denomination, inside the evocative Casa del Podestà. It will be an opportunity to discover the production diversity of Garda Doc in a historic and scenic setting.
The following day, Friday June 5, the program will shift toward sensory innovation. The masterclass led by Paolo Fiorini, oenologist and Vinitaly Ambassador Garda Doc Sissi Baratella, and trainer and freediver Dario Boschetto will combine wine, breathing and sensory perception in an immersive experience designed to narrate the territory through new interpretative keys.
A format that strengthens identity and positioning
Garda Wine Stories confirms itself as a central tool in the communication strategy of the Garda Doc Consortium. The format brings together data, relationships and territory to consolidate the denomination’s positioning in both Italian and international markets, while enhancing the landscape and production heritage of Lake Garda.
A journey that, after the visibility gained at Vinitaly, continues to build a coherent and contemporary narrative of Garda Doc—one capable of interpreting market changes without losing its connection to its roots.
