Gruppo Lunelli Publishes 2024 Sustainability Report: Moving Forward Under the Banner of Carbon Neutrality

Gruppo Lunelli has released its new 2024 Sustainability Report, presenting with transparency and vision the path undertaken to combine growth and responsibility, highlighting the environmental, social, and economic results achieved by all the companies within the Group. In a year marked by deep economic and geopolitical uncertainties, the Group has continued with determination in its sustainability initiatives, paying close attention to the impact on the territories where it operates.

Among the most significant milestones is the renewal of the Carbon Neutrality certification for Surgiva, according to the international Climate Partner standard. In 2024, the Group’s mineral water brand completely neutralized the direct carbon footprint of its plant through the exclusive use of renewable energy, energy efficiency measures, and compensation with certified carbon credits. This commitment complements the efforts already undertaken by Ferrari Trento, carbon neutral since 2021.

“The 2024 Sustainability Report represents another step in our journey toward a business model that lives in harmony with the environment and with people,” said Camilla Lunelli, Communications and Sustainability Director of the Group. “For us, sustainability is not just a goal but a guiding principle that translates into concrete actions to build a more responsible and inclusive future.”

When it comes to sustainability at Lunelli, great attention is also devoted to the agricultural supply chain, managed with full respect for biodiversity and workers’ health.

In addition to the organic and “Biodiversity Friend” certifications already obtained in the Group’s vineyards in Trentino, Tuscany, and Umbria, in 2024 the Group joined the “Agricoltore Custode” protocol promoted by the Trento Biodistrict. This initiative promotes regenerative farming practices capable of strengthening the resilience of agroecosystems and contributing to a high-quality sustainable landscape.

Responsible resource use has also led to a reduction in water consumption at both industrial and agricultural levels, as well as an increase in the percentage of waste sent for recovery, confirming the Group’s commitment to a circular economy model.

On the social front, Gruppo Lunelli continues to invest in the well-being and development of its people. Among the initiatives launched in 2024 is “Your Time for the Community,” a corporate volunteering project that allows employees to dedicate part of their time to socially useful activities, strengthening the bond between the company and the local area.
