Lake Garda Wines is born: the joint venture debuts at Wine Paris 2025

I vini del Garda fanno squadra per Wine Paris 2025, nasce Lake Garda Wines

From the passion of the Bardolino, Custoza, Garda, Lugana and Valtènesi Consortia, united in the intent to present the wines and wonders of Lake Garda to the world with a single and powerful image, the Lake Garda Wines project was born. An alliance of Denominations, which embraces the common goal of enhancing an extraordinary winemaking heritage, bringing the authenticity and quality of the wines of this region on a global scale.

Thanks to its unique microclimate, extraordinary biodiversity and centuries of winemaking tradition, Lake Garda offers an ideal terroir for the production of evocative wines, deeply rooted in the local culture.

Fabio dei Micheli, President of the Bardolino DOC Consortium, emphasizes the importance of this synergy, explaining how Lake Garda Wines not only promotes wines, but also the territorial identity. “Collaborating with other consortia allows us to strengthen the visibility of our wines and build a common message. Our climate vocation becomes a model of quality recognizable worldwide, consolidating us as a winemaking center of excellence.”

The President of the Consorzio Tutela Vino Custoza DOC, Roberta Bricolo, adds: “Five united consortia face the challenges of the global market with determination and cohesion. This alliance optimizes resources and enhances the authenticity of our territory, creating a stronger and more recognizable international image.”

Paolo Fiorini, President of the Garda DOC Consortium, also emphasizes the opportunity of this project to strengthen the presence on foreign markets, particularly in France. “We don’t just promote our wines,” explains Fiorini, “but also the cultural and landscape heritage that makes Lake Garda a place capable of arousing unparalleled emotions.”

From his point of view, Fabio Zenato, President of the Lugana DOC Consortium, talks about the importance of joining forces to tell the story of Lake Garda. “This project aims to consolidate the winemaking identity of each Denomination and to convey a collective vision that embraces sustainability, innovation and a commitment to the future of wine.”

Finally, Paolo Pasini, President of the Valtènesi Consortium, highlights: “Lake Garda is the common thread in the DNA of all the wines that come from its original microclimate. Uniting the Consortia is the best way to share with the world the beauty that sustains us. With Lake Garda Wines, we tell the story of a territory that produces wines inextricably linked to its nature, culture and traditions.”

The collaboration between the Consortia of Bardolino, Custoza, Garda, Lugana and Valtènesi represents a virtuous example of cooperation for the promotion of wine. This synergy allows us to face the challenges of the global market more effectively, amplifying the visibility of the wines and enhancing the qualities of each individual Denomination.
