After three years of being all-Italian, with Ferrari Trento’s Trentodoc bubbles celebrating the successes of the four-wheel aces in the GPs, Moët & Chandon is once again the official Champagne of Formula 1. Following the start of the groundbreaking ten-year partnership between Formula 1 and LVMH, the historic Maison is announced as the next toast to the podium and victories for the drivers. With over 280 years of excellence in the art of Champagne production behind it, Moët & Chandon has long been part of the most iconic celebrations in motorsport: moments of triumph, unity and authentic emotion. Since 1950, in fact, it has accompanied the celebrations of legendary champions such as Sir Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Mika Häkkinen and Michael Schumacher. Every bottle opened, every bubble of Champagne, has represented the culmination of a relentless commitment and a shared passion. Now, as Formula 1 prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary, Moët & Chandon proudly returns to the podium, ready to create new moments of shared joy.
Moët & Chandon takes to the track at Spa-Francorchamps as Title Partner of the Belgian Grand Prix
Moët & Chandon will once again be celebrating on the podium, as the top three drivers and the winning team toast their success on the world’s circuits.
The House will also be a Title Partner at Spa-Francorchamps for the Formula 1 Moët & Chandon Belgian Grand Prix 2025, a race of particular importance for the Champagne House.
The Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps is more than just a race: it is a beloved event, deeply intertwined with the history of Formula 1 and Moët & Chandon.
Located in the heart of the Ardennes, Spa is the closest Grand Prix to the terroir of the Champagne region, making it a natural homecoming for the House.
Known for its legendary curves, unpredictability and breathtaking scenery, Spa is one of the most admired GPs by Formula 1 drivers and fans.
Spa-Francorchamps was also part of the very first FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar in 1950, a race won by the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio on June 18 of that year. Just two weeks later, Fangio triumphed again at the French Grand Prix, held at the Reims-Gueux circuit in Champagne: a historic race, attended by two local motor racing enthusiasts, Paul Chandon-Moët and his cousin, Count Frédéric Chandon de Briailles.
After the race, in a symbolic moment of shared celebration, they welcomed Fangio to the Château de Saran on the Moët & Chandon estate for a private toast in honor of his victory.
This deep connection between Moët & Chandon and Formula 1 is a testament to the House’s enduring bond with the sport, rooted in passion, excellence and the joy of shared triumphs.

Partnership with Formula 1 and Motorsports: The Story of More Than Official Champagne
Moët & Chandon’s history with motorsports, however, dates back even further, to 1936, when Tazio Nuvolari, after winning the Vanderbilt Cup, sipped Champagne from a Moët & Chandon Jeroboam.
However, it was in 1967 that the now iconic celebratory moment began. After winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Dan Gurney was given a Moët & Chandon Jeroboam and, in a moment of pure euphoria, he spontaneously shook it and sprayed it into the crowd, unknowingly creating a new tradition throughout the sport.
From the legendary Golden Magnum trophy of 1977 to the Jeroboams signed by racing greats between 1991 and 1997, Moët & Chandon’s legacy in Formula 1 is one of shared triumphs.
“We are honored and excited to return as the Official Champagne of Formula 1, celebrating a shared history of collective triumphs and dedication since the 1950s,” said Sibylle Scherer, CEO and President of Moët & Chandon. “We honor the extraordinary teamwork, limitless precision and pursuit of excellence that drive motorsports and our craft. This collaboration is a tribute to the unity and shared successes of inspiring drivers, their dedicated teams and the global community that supports them. As Moët & Chandon once again ascends the podium, we continue to create moments of celebration that belong to everyone on this incredible journey.”
“The tradition of toasting on the podium is one of the most iconic moments in our sport and we are thrilled to welcome Moët & Chandon back as the Official Champagne of Formula 1,” said Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Formula 1. “This partnership celebrates the history, emotion and excellence that bind Formula 1 and Moët & Chandon, in a perfect combination of performance and refinement in a very special year as we celebrate our 75th anniversary. Moët & Chandon’s return to the podium further strengthens the bond of our innovative partnership with LVMH and we look forward to toasting this extraordinary collaboration together.”
