Muratori Franciacorta is the Official Wine Partner of Atalanta BC

A new liaison between football and wine in Italy. Muratori Franciacorta Brut will be the official sparkling wine in all hospitality areas of the Atalanta Stadium, a premier venue spanning nine restaurants and 39 skyboxes. The winery’s prestigious Franciacorta will accompany the haute cuisine prepared by renowned caterers “Da Vittorio” (three Michelin stars) and “I Love Banqueting” at all of Atalanta’s home matches in the 2025/2026 football season, in the Serie A Championship, the Coppa Italia, and especially at the European level in the Champions League.

Atalanta BC and Muratori Franciacorta: winning models on and off the pitch

The Bergamo-based Atalanta BC team stands out not only for its sporting successes, which have characterized Atalanta’s recent seasons, culminating in its historic UEFA Europa League title, but also for its forward-thinking and sustainable management.

Over the past 10 years, the club has demonstrated how vision, planning, and commitment can generate ambitious results while maintaining a solid and virtuous structure. These are all elements that make it a good match for Muratori Franciacorta, a winery increasingly on the rise within the Lombardy appellation.

“Shared values,” emphasizes Bruno Muratori, president of the Adro (Brescia) winery, “which have always accompanied our family’s entrepreneurial history and which we have rediscovered in Atalanta. Associating our brand with that of Atalanta once again demonstrates the Muratori family’s vision: to strive for excellence through an ambitious, yet healthy and sustainable growth model.”

The hope for the Bergamo team and for Muratori Franciacorta, now, is obviously to be able to toast a success at the end of the season.

Now in its third generation, the Muratori family has been dedicated to producing Franciacorta for over a quarter of a century, growing and vinifying their own grapes from 60 hectares of vineyards located throughout the Denomination. From the outset, in the 1990s, the project involved the acquisition of land in all six Appellation Units, enabling them to represent the full range of soil and climate of Franciacorta through their wines.

The winery, named “Villa Crespia” in homage to a wine popular in the late Middle Ages and considered the forerunner of sparkling wines, is an example of architecture at the service of sustainability: it spans 15,000 square meters and extends over three levels, reaching up to 12 meters underground, allowing gravity to move the must during harvest and ensuring a consistent natural microclimate throughout the year.
