Nadia Zenato is marking a turning point in her journey, initiating a redefinition of the internal balance within Zenato Azienda Vitivinicola S.r.l. A portion of her shares is being transferred to her brother, Alberto Zenato, who is set to take on the majority ownership of the historic family winery. In the next steps, which will be completed in the coming weeks, she will retain a minority stake, remaining connected to the company’s identity while easing her operational role.
This decision fits into a trajectory of personal and entrepreneurial evolution, opening space for her to devote more energy to new projects in which wine engages with culture, relationships and a broader, contemporary vision of the wine‑driven lifestyle.
“Nadia Zenato moves toward new entrepreneurial challenges,” she states. “Zenato is a family story before it is a company. I have dedicated many years to its growth, bringing our wines, territories and the vision born from my father Sergio and my mother Carla to the world, building long‑lasting relationships with all stakeholders and strengthening the brand’s premium positioning, now globally recognized as a symbol of excellence. Today, I choose to give more space to what has represented the most authentic part of my path: my relationship with people and the international promotion of the wine from my territory, through the expansion of existing cultural and entrepreneurial initiatives and the creation of new projects.”

Nadia Zenato’s next challenges
When Nadia Zenato took the helm of the winery founded by her parents, Sergio and Carla, the Italian wine world was led almost exclusively by men. She chose not to adapt to that language and instead brought her own, shaped by rigor, aesthetics and relationships built with patience and vision across international markets.
Over more than three decades, she has helped establish the wines of Lake Garda and Valpolicella in over 60 countries, building a premium positioning recognized by leading guides and institutions in the sector. The number of women who have led an Italian winery with true international authority can be counted on one hand, and Nadia Zenato is among them.
In the coming months, she will continue to develop ongoing initiatives and new projects focused on enhancing the territory, promoting Italian wine worldwide and strengthening wine tourism.
Alongside her entrepreneurial work, the producer from Verona will continue her cultural engagement through projects closely linked to art, study and experimental laboratories dedicated especially to contemporary photography, and the ongoing dialogue between wine, art, culture and society.
