Oltrepò Pavese: Francesca Seralvo new president of the Wine Consortium

The renewed Board of Directors of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese has unanimously elected Francesca Seralvo, owner of Tenuta Mazzolino, as new president, who takes over the baton from Gilda Fugazza, who in recent years has guided the area’s Doc and Docg on a renewed path, relocating it under the the productions are in the spotlight for their recognized quality, as also demonstrated by the last act of his mandate: the approval by the members’ assembly of the request to the Lombardy Region to activate a traceability system for the IGT, a practice that guarantees greater protection on the packaging of the IG Province of Pavia. In the new course which now opens with Francesca Seralvo, the following have been called to the vice-presidency: Renato Guarini (Losito and Guarini srl for the bottlers category), Cristian Calatroni (Calatroni di Calatroni Cristian for the winemakers category) and Massimo Barbieri (Torrevilla Vit. Associati Soc. Coop Agr for the winemakers category).

The Board of Directors of the Oltrepò Pavese Wine Protection Consortium has unanimously elected Francesca Seralvo of Tenuta Mazzolino as the new president.

The producer comments as follows, indicating the guidelines of her mandate:

40-year-old Francesca Seralvo is the third generation of the family that owns Tenuta Mazzolino, the Corvino San Quirico company on the Pinot Noir hills in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese.

Francesca’s grandfather, Enrico Braggiotti, founded the company in the 1980s after purchasing a plot of land in the area. In 2015, Francesca Seralvo took up the baton of her mother Sandra, giving up her career as a lawyer and taking on responsibility for the family business, in which she had grown up since she was a child.
