A commitment, that of the wine company, to defend and enhance the natural and cultural heritage of Sicily and the Mediterranean, as well as aimed at raising awareness and protecting the marine ecosystem.

Tasca d’Almerita, a historic partner of the Palermo – Montecarlo offshore race since its first edition in 2005, reconfirms its participation also for 2024 with the prestigious trophy dedicated to Giuseppe Tasca, underlining the historical and cultural importance of the family in the event.
The coveted and spectacular sailing competition, which unites the two shores of the Mediterranean Sea, will start next Tuesday, August 20 in front of the headquarters of the Circolo Vela Sicilia – the organizing club of the regatta, as well as a challenging Club in the America’s Cup with “Luna Rossa” – from the scenic Gulf of Mondello, to conclude after over 500 miles under the Rocca Grimaldi, in the suggestive Bay of the Principality of Monaco.
This collaboration is based on a deep bond based on the commitment of Tasca d’Almerita in the protection and safeguarding of the natural and cultural heritage of Sicily and the Mediterranean, as well as in the promotion and protection of the marine ecosystem.

The Circolo della Vela Sicilia – organizer of the regatta – had among its founders Count Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita in 1933, who was its president in 1982. The collaboration with Tasca d’Almerita also celebrates Count Giuseppe’s passion for sailing, who has always supported the event since its first edition, wishing to bring together in the Gulf of Mondello the best helmsmen and professionals of world offshore sailing.
The Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita Trophy 2024 – established by Count Giuseppe, will be awarded to the first-placed boat in real time, perpetuating the tradition of excellence and competitiveness that characterizes this regatta.
