Wine, art and tradition are the pillars of Veronese culture and the identity of a city that has made its history its distinctive brand, known and loved throughout the world.

On the occasion of Vinitaly 2024, the Veronese-born artist Adalberto Lonardi created an original scenography with a three-dimensional effect designed to bring the spaces of Coin Excelsior into dialogue with the Pasqua Wines during the event open to the public “A Love Letter to Verona” which will be held on Friday 12 April, from 6pm to 8pm.

The two Venetian brands Coin SpA and Pasqua Vini have in fact invited the artist from Verona to create a site-specific installation, distributed between the windows of the department store and its ground floor, to pay tribute to the city of Verona and to wine, bringing the most representative monuments of the city are on stage.

A dedication to the value of community, a recurring theme in the works of Adalberto Lonardi, which finds its perfect combination with the pouring of the most iconic wines of Pasqua Vini, also protagonists of Vinitaly 2024, underway during the week.

In the spaces of Coin Excelsior it will be possible to appreciate and dialogue with Adalberto Lonardi’s three-dimensional panels and undertake an exceptional wine journey: from Pasqua Wines 11 Minutes Rosé 2023 we will move on to Cecilia Beretta Soave Classico Brognoligo 2022 to taste the inevitable PassioneSentimento Rosso 2021.

Furthermore, an exclusive collection of ceramics by the artist will be displayed in the store, bringing the theme of love to the table: plates, bowls and vases decorated with a painted motif inspired by the figurative Italian ceramics of the sixteenth century, an ode to his hometown and to the invisible force that unites us and heals us.

All participants are invited to interact with the work by sharing their thoughts for the city, helping to create a unique and unrepeatable installation together: a true love letter to the city of Verona.

“My job is to give voice to the community”, the philosophy that guides Adalberto Lonardi’s creative thought. “Art shines with the contribution of the people around us.”
