Maison Perrier-Jouët, in partnership with Design Miami, has announced the winner of the inaugural Perrier-Jouët Design for Nature Award: Dutch artist and Haute Couturier Iris van Herpen. This groundbreaking award aims to encourage designers to explore sustainability as a driving force for cultural and environmental progress, marking a new chapter in the dialogue between creativity and responsibility.
The prize draws inspiration from the Art Nouveau philosophy, celebrating the deep interconnection between nature, culture, and innovation. Each year, it will honor a designer whose work reflects a responsible approach and a strong affinity with the ethics of this movement—historically linked to Perrier-Jouët.
Iris van Herpen: A Visionary Bridging Fashion, Art, and Nature
Recognized as one of the most innovative figures in contemporary fashion, Iris van Herpen founded her Maison in 2007 and has since redefined the boundaries between couture, science, and technology. Her creations translate organic forces and micro-rhythms into visible forms, crafting a sensory language for sustainability.
Her latest collection, Sympoiesis, unveiled at Paris Couture Week in July 2025, draws inspiration from the vital force of the ocean, featuring fluid silhouettes and layered textures that evoke the movement of tides.

The announcement was made by Axelle de Buffévent, Global Culture & Creative Director of Pernod Ricard Group, and Glenn Adamson, Curatorial Director of Design Miami 2025.
