For generations, the Allegrini family has lived in Fumane, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, passing down the culture of vines and wine. Protagonists in these lands since the 16th century, the company took on its modern appearance thanks to the founder of the new generation, Giovanni Allegrini, among the first to overturn, in the 1960s, consolidated habits and speak clearly of “quality” in an era in which “quantity” was the only parameter to direct production. This is how the “Allegrini style” was born, which is perfectly interpreted in the homage that today remembers the person who started it all. Recioto Giovanni Allegrini, in fact, represents everything that wine embodies: history, knowledge, land, technique and passion. In one word: culture. With the 2019 vintage, the brothers Francesco, Matteo and Giovanni, together with their cousin Silvia who now leads the winery, celebrate this wine, so unique in its features and history, with a new packaging that enhances its elegance and importance.

How the Recioto della Valpolicella Classico 2019 Docg Giovanni Allegrini is born
The Recioto della Valpolicella Classico 2019 Docg Giovanni Allegrini is a true symbol of tradition, which in the bottle seals one of the oldest wines in the world, a production known since Roman times.
Among the highest expressions of the vocation of Valpolicella Classica, its sweetness is balanced by a balsamic freshness that makes it versatile and unique.
The long drying of the Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta bunches in the fruit cellars of the Fumane company allows the grapes, coming from the Villa Cavarena and Marezzane vineyards, not only to concentrate the sugars but also to transform the aromas into that whirlwind of fruit and spices that then reverberate in the glass.

The result is a perfectly balanced wine, between sweetness and acidity, between aromatic intensity and length. The aromas recall cherry jam, cinnamon, cloves but also dark chocolate and mint. In the mouth it is velvety, with a soft but present tannin that gives a great length to the sip.
The ideal choice to treat yourself whenever you want. It is, in fact, a sweet accord to end in style, to accompany dry or cocoa-based desserts, but it is also absolutely worth trying with very mature or blue cheeses or second courses with fruit or red fruit-based sauces.
A new look, a tribute to tradition in a modern key
The elegance in the glass is now accompanied by a new look in which the pictogram inspired by an ornamental symbol present in two important churches of the Valpolicella stands out: the Pieve di San Giorgio and the Pieve di San Floriano.
The choice was to keep this important emblem, giving it even more prominence, not only on the label, but also on the packaging.
The new label is distinguished by a contemporary design, in a tribute to tradition in a modern key on 100% white cotton paper, a material and sustainable.
Elements that are also found on the birch wood packaging, also available in a single case for those who wish to offer a precious gift, in which the pictogram of Giovanni Allegrini is fire-engraved and where each bottle is wrapped in tissue paper, thus adding a touch of elegance and exclusivity.
