Revolution on the table: Tenuta Gorghi Tondi launches the 375 ml wine format for a new style of dining

Tenuta Gorghi Tondi introduces the 375 ml wine format to meet modern Horeca needs, promoting mindful consumption and sustainability.

The way we drink wine is changing — and with it, the restaurant world. It’s no longer just a matter of wine lists or labels, but of formats, occasions and freedom of choice. In this evolving scenario, Tenuta Gorghi Tondi introduces a proposal that meets one of the most concrete needs of today’s market: the 375 ml format. A decision born from a precise observation of consumption behaviour, translated into a structured response for the Horeca sector.

Format as a solution: between mindful drinking and accessibility

The standard 750 ml bottle now shows clear limits in real consumption contexts. From solo dining to couples, and with customers increasingly attentive to moderation, a gap is emerging between supply and demand.

In this context, Tenuta Gorghi Tondi proposes a 375 ml line designed to make wine more accessible in restaurants, encouraging food pairing without excess or compromise.

The choice also aligns with the estate’s commitment to the Wine in Moderation programme, reinforcing an approach rooted in responsible, contemporary consumption.

The wines chosen for the new format follow a clear idea: freshness, drinkability and gastronomic versatility.

Terre Siciliane IGT Babbìo Bianco Bio is a lively sparkling white with citrus, fruity and saline notes. Its moderate alcohol content — eleven percent by volume — marks a first step toward a “low‑alcohol” approach, in line with new market expectations.

Alongside it, Sicilia DOC Coste a Preola Grillo Bio expresses a Mediterranean profile of freshness and savouriness, while the Nero d’Avola Bio interprets the contemporary red with a fruity, soft and accessible style.

Packaging and sustainability: aesthetics and responsibility

The proposal goes beyond the wine itself. The container becomes part of the innovation.

The 375 ml bottles maintain the visual identity of the line, with decorations inspired by Sicilian maiolica, reinterpreted through sustainable materials. The use of transparent PETG with at least forty percent post‑consumer recycled content reflects a concrete commitment to circular economy principles and sustainable packaging.

Tenuta Gorghi Tondi: a project rooted in place, and wine as a modular experience

At the heart of this new proposal lies the estate’s identity. Located near Mazara del Vallo, within a WWF Nature Reserve, Tenuta Gorghi Tondi practices viticulture deeply connected to the environment, where biodiversity and organic methods shape the character of the wines.

Grillo, the estate’s key variety, together with other native and international grapes, contributes to a range that is coherent with both the territory and contemporary taste.

The 375 ml format represents far more than a production variation: it is a shift in paradigm. Wine becomes flexible, adaptable to different occasions and consumers, without losing quality or identity. In this balance, Tenuta Gorghi Tondi captures a real transformation in the market, offering a new measure of pleasure.
