Rosambra: Tenuta di Arceno signs its first Rosé

Freshness, grace and authenticity from the hills of Chianti Classico in a Sangiovese Rosato, the first signed by Tenuta di Arceno. The historic winery presents Rosambra, a Rosé wine that comes from one of the most suitable areas for viticulture and that presents itself as a new, refined expression of the winemaking identity of this land.

“The goal was to obtain a Provence-style Rosé, light in color, with lively and fresh aromas, typical of a young Sangiovese,” explains Lawrence Cronin, winemaker at Tenuta di Arceno. “For this reason, we harvested early, in the early morning and fermented slowly at low temperatures, to capture the essence of the grapes. Only 3 hours of contact with the skins gave life to an extraordinary Rosé”.

A new nuance of Tenuta di Arceno: Rosambra is born, a Rosé from Sangiovese

The 2024 harvest, one of the coolest in recent years, created the ideal conditions for a Rosato that could fully express the lightness and vivacity of Sangiovese. The bunches, carefully selected and hand-picked in the early hours of the morning, were treated with the utmost delicacy.

After a short maceration, the wine was carefully pressed and aged in stainless steel tanks for three months, during which it was delicately stimulated through weekly batonnage.

The bottling took place on April 14, 2025, marking the beginning of a new tradition for Tenuta di Arceno.

Rosambra reveals itself in the glass with a pale, crystalline and luminous pink. On the nose, its delicate notes of pink grapefruit, apricot and white peach intertwine with fresh and citrusy scents. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and vitality, enveloping the taste with a soft acidity that culminates in a refreshing finish of Tarocco orange peel, leaving a sensation of elegance that persists.

“Rosambra, the new rosé from Tenuta di Arceno, was not created to take away space from the estate’s other labels, but to introduce the tasting experience with balance,” says Pepe Graciani Schib, Global Brand Ambassador. “A wine designed to prepare the palate and calibrate it on the grape that symbolizes the territory.”

With a production limited to just 2,600 bottles, Rosambra tells a new and intimate nuance of Tenuta di Arceno.
