Ruggeri celebrates 75 years of history among the vineyards in Valdobbiadene

Ruggeri’s is an oenological adventure that began on June 26, 75 years ago when Giustino Bisol together with his cousin Luciano Ruggeri founded the winery on the steep slopes of Valdobbiadene, a territory that is difficult to tame and that today is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An event at the Castello di San Salvatore in Susegana celebrated the historic anniversary, a tribute event to a long shared journey. Three hundred people toasted during the evening: among them the suppliers, both fathers and sons, who for decades have taken care of the precious vineyards of Cartizze and the Valdobbiadene and Conegliano Denomination, the company’s employees, some former collaborators and local institutions. A large family reunited. During the dinner, a toast was made with the first vintage of Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Docg in the Brut version, 2023 vintage, but also with Giustino B, the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg dedicated to the founder Giustino Bisol. Last but not least: for the cutting of the cake, a toast with Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Docg Dry.

A future between innovation and roots: the vision of the Bisol family

“75 years is an important milestone but also a starting point for new adventures,” comments Laura Mayr, General Manager of Ruggeri. “A wonderful opportunity to pay homage to our territory and to all the people who together make and have made this journey possible.”

According to Paolo Bisol, son of the founder and spokesperson for the company vision, “the deepest core, the soul of Ruggeri, is the qualitative ambition: a tension towards quality, which has always been present in every moment, in every important choice, in every smallest gesture of daily work.”

In these 75 years of activity, heritage and innovation have always been intertwined like the leaves of the vines. The path of the winery has been able to unite two vital impulses in a single vision: the protection of traditions on the one hand, a pioneering imprinting devoted to experimentation on the other. It is thanks to this spirit of passion and courage, aspiration and concreteness, that the winery is now known and recognized in Italy and in over fifty countries around the world.

A tradition that is renewed every year: Ruggeri’s homage to the grape suppliers

Ruggeri has always organized a dinner and a party for its grape supplier families on the second Friday of June. This year’s evening is even more special and aims to be a tribute to all those who have taken part in the company’s history over these 75 years: starting with a thank you to the grape suppliers, the largest group that has contributed to the company’s success over the years.
