Seven, a lucky number. At least for Italy, which sees a symbol of its bubbles climb once again to the top step of the podium as the best in class. For the seventh time, in fact, Ferrari Trento is the best producer in the world and wins the prestigious title of “Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year” at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, the most authoritative competition dedicated exclusively to bubbles. An award that rewards the excellence and qualitative consistency of a winery that, year after year, confirms itself at the top of the international wine scene and contributes substantially to the success of the Belpaese. With 70 gold medals, Italy was in fact the most awarded country, ahead of France, Australia, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Ferrari Trento Best Producer in the World at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships
The symbolic winery of the Lunelli Group has won 13 gold medals at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships in the 2024 edition: from non-vintage wines, such as Ferrari Brut, to the Maximum line and the Perlé line, up to Ferrari Riserva Lunelli and Giulio Ferrari. A result that highlights not only the excellence of the individual Trentodocs but also the House’s ability to best express the potential of the territory by declining them in a wide range of labels, each with its own identity but consistent in style.

Trentodoc, which was the first DOC in Italy exclusively dedicated to the Classic Method, was also one of the most appreciated denominations by the judges in the 2024 edition of the competition.
Tom Stevenson, the soul of the World Bubble Championships and one of the world’s leading Champagne experts, commented:
“By winning the title of Producer of the Year for the fourth consecutive time and for seven of the 11 years of the competition, Ferrari Trento becomes the most successful sparkling wine producer on the planet. Unlike other awards, this one is based solely on the number of medals won, which makes the consistency, year after year, with which such a high level of quality is achieved even more remarkable, both in standard and magnum formats, but above all across the entire range”.
The awards ceremony will be held on October 24 at Merchant Taylors Hall in London.
Ferrari Trento is also nominated for the title of “European Winery of the Year” by the American magazine Wine Enthusiast, a title it had already won in 2015. The winner of the category will be announced on November 14 and the awards ceremony will be held in January 2025.
