Stajnbech wines shine at international wine competitions

Stajnbech wines shine again, obtaining results as true protagonists on the stages of international wine competitions. In particular, Sauvignon Blanc Bosco della Donna and 150 Lison Classico Docg have stood out at the beginning of 2025 between Sauvignon Selection and 5Star Wines.

“We are all proud of these new goals achieved – comments Rebecca Valent, winemaker and second generation of the winery, and fourth of producers in the company – for us it is a clear signal that we are working in the right direction, with the right degree of dedication and passion and with that sense of cohesion of the team experienced as in a large family”.

Bosco della Donna by Stajnbech Gold Medal for Sauvignon Selection

At the Sauvignon Selection, an award that is part of the competitions organized by the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and held for the first time this year in Bourgas, Bulgaria, Bosco della Donna by Stajnbech won the Gold Medal, one of only 11 top awards given to Italian wines. This is a first-rate stage, considering the value of the competition as a showcase on international markets. Bosco della Donna has a fascinating and evocative name that is linked to an ancient history. Today, in place of the homonymous forest that passed from the Nobili Frattina to the ownership of the Conti Bellavitis, grow the vines of this Sauvignon Blanc, the best seller among the whites produced by the Venetian company.

The sage-colored label refers to the main and varietal scent that identifies the main grape variety that defines the wine, describing its freshness but also its cleanliness and elegance. Obtained from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, it has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it is aromatic, reminiscent of elderflower, sage, green pepper and tomato leaf. On the palate it is soft, persistent, dry.

150 Lison Classico Docg on display for 5Star Wines

Excellent news also arrives at an international level for the 150 Lison Classico Docg, a label that obtains 90 points at 5Star Wines, the wine selection that Vinitaly organizes in collaboration with Assoenologi. One selection, two souls: on the one hand the event, namely the three-day blind tasting with an international jury of top-level wine professionals; on the other, the official guide 5StarWines – the Book, which collects the participating wines that have obtained a score equal to or higher than 90 hundredths.

The 150 Lison Classico Docg originates from the historic 100% Tocai Friulano grape variety and offers balance and harmony, virtues of the homonymous denomination and above all of the company style. In fact, this wine represents Stajnbech in terms of recognition but also of territoriality. Its name is dedicated to our Belpaese, which in 2011, the year in which the Docg was recognized, celebrated 150 years of its unity.

The 150 Lison Classico Docg has a classic straw yellow color, but with delicate greenish reflections. On the nose it is intense, with floral notes of lime, wisteria and acacia, but also mint and a hint of vegetal, then moving on to fragrances of exotic fruit. On the palate it is complex with fresh and citrus notes and offers a strong aromatic persistence. Thanks to the nine months on the fine lees and at least six months of refinement in the bottle before being marketed, it is very balanced, persistent, elegant with a characteristic almond aftertaste.
