From November 9 to 16, Asti DOCG will once again take center stage at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, the most anticipated indoor tournament of the year, where the world’s top eight tennis players will compete at the Inalpi Arena. For the fifth consecutive year, the Asti DOCG Consortium confirms its partnership as official sparkling wine and silver partner of the event with its prestigious bubbles.
“For five years we’ve stepped onto the court alongside the elite of world tennis with our sparkling wines,” commented Giacomo Pondini, Director of the Asti DOCG Consortium. “This collaboration strengthens the bond between the Asti brand and the world of tennis, allowing us to reach an increasingly broad audience. Last year, over 210,000 spectators attended the tournament live, while the final between Sinner and Fritz surpassed 5 million TV viewers.”
A Rich Calendar of Events and Tastings at the Nitto ATP Finals
Asti Spumante and Moscato d’Asti will accompany not only victories on the court but also the collateral initiatives organized by the Consortium. It begins on November 4 with the Windows Opening Ceremony and Shopping Night at Rinascente on Via Lagrange, followed on November 6 by the Grand Opening Show featuring Pinguini Tattici Nucleari and Max Pezzali on the Inalpi Arena stage.
On November 11, the Charity Brunch returns at the Cinema Museum, a benefit event supporting cancer research at the Candiolo Institute, with memorabilia auctions and the presence of brand ambassador Lorenzo Sonego.
The grand finale will take place on November 16 with The Final Set, the official closing party at OGR Torino, featuring a live stream of the final and a DJ set by LP Gobbi.
Asti DOCG Shines Beyond the Court
Throughout the tournament, Piedmont’s sparkling wines will be showcased at the Consortium’s stand in the Fan Village. But November will be a busy month beyond the ATP Finals: from the Vini Buoni guide event at the Merano Wine Festival, to the return of the historic TrEno Langhe Roero and Monferrato, and tastings at the Canelli Truffle Fair and the Cremona Nougat Festival.
The calendar will close on November 30 with FAI visits to Palazzo Gastaldi, the headquarters of the Asti DOCG Consortium, to share the history and identity of Italy’s oldest sparkling wine denomination.
