Tenuta San Giorgio will be at Wine Paris 2025 (Hall 6 Stand A 114). The family-run winery based in Maserada sul Piave (Treviso), in the heart of the Grave di Papadopoli, the largest river island in Italy and among the largest in Europe, will bring its wide range of sparkling wines, as well as fresh and aromatic still white wines and red wines representative of the territory, under the Eiffel Tower at the international wine fair scheduled from 10 to 12 February 2025 at Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles, to conquer what is now one of the most important markets for the export of Italian wine, first and foremost for Prosecco, which is constantly growing after the boom in 2020 when it recorded a +35%.
“France represents an extremely stimulating and attractive market for our products”, explains Michele Tombacco, co-owner & Sales Director of Tenuta San Giorgio and fourth generation of the family. “Domestic consumption of Italian sparkling wines, especially Prosecco, is growing strongly and the trend bodes well for the years to come”.
“For Tenuta San Giorgio, the approach to this vast and challenging market was started quite recently, leveraging our sparkling wine DNA. The approach, in line with the company’s commercial strategy, is a direct line to the import channels aimed at distribution in the on-trade and wine shops segment. At the moment, the presence is limited to the regions of Brittany and the Mediterranean coast, but the development plans include expansion to Paris and the major urban centers, favoring collaborations with entities operating on a local or regional scale”.
The new vintages of Ripe Frondose and Ripe in Rosa on display at Wine Paris 2025: Tenuta San Giorgio Prosecco conquers France
Wine Paris 2025 is back on stage and at the exhibition space of the Consorzio di Tutela della Doc Prosecco, alongside 11 other member wineries, Tenuta San Giorgio is preparing to welcome professionals, buyers, wine lovers and international journalists who will have the opportunity to learn about and taste its wide range of sparkling wines, Prosecco Doc and Prosecco Superiore Docg, as well as still wines representative of the area. A unique opportunity to tell the story of a winemaking tradition that has its roots in a family history spanning over fifty years and in an area with unique characteristics and still uncontaminated and little-known today such as that of Grave di Papadopoli.
On the tasting table, in particular, the new vintages of Ripe Frondose and Ripe in Rosa will be highlighted, the two vintages and spearheads of the Prosecco range of the Treviso company.
100% Glera, Ripe Frondose is a Prosecco Doc Treviso Extra Dry that, born from the generative lymph of the Piave, tells through its persistent perlage the strongly territorial DNA but with a contemporary spirit of Tenuta San Giorgio. Maximum expression of the Grave di Papadopoli, this brilliant wine characterized by hints of Golden apple, Decana pear and delicate exotic nuances opens on the palate with a perfectly balanced natural acidity.

90% Glera and 10% Pinot Noir, Prosecco Rosé Doc Treviso Extra Brut Ripe in Rosa also gives voice to a terroir that benefits from unique soil and climate characteristics and is lapped by waters of Dolomite origin. Delicate and refined, this sparkling wine with elegant expressive declinations and a consistent perlage reveals aromas of apple and peach that harmoniously combine with hints of wild rose and wild strawberries, for a fresh, clean and tantalizing taste.
