Terre Cevico, positive outcome at Vinitaly 2024: 500 meetings with buyers from 60 countries and 200 operators from Italy

Positive results for Terre Cevico at Vinitaly 2024, for the first time at the world wine event in Verona with the business card of a first-class cooperative. Terre Cevico took part with a double presence: in the Emilia-Romagna pavilion with its proposal dedicated to the national Horeca (catering and eating out) and large-scale distribution channels, and in Pavilion number 7 together with the main subsidiaries of the group (Medici Ermete, Orion Wines, Cantine Giacomo Montresor) in its international capacity.

“The balance of our participation in the fair is satisfactory,” declared the general director of Terre Cevico, Paolo Galassi. “The event allowed us to strengthen our presence in the Italian market by meeting over 200 Horeca and large-scale retail trade operators from all regions of the national panorama. At the same time we have implemented our foreign commercial network thanks to over 500 B2B meetings with buyers from around sixty countries. We have noticed great liveliness in some international areas, starting from the Far East, an area in which our group is among the first for exports to Japan and China”.

Terre Cevico: development abroad, with the heart in Romagna

In the last six years, Terre Cevico has recorded the doubling of its foreign bottled market so much so that it represents over 40% of its turnover. “Today we operate in around seventy countries,” continued Paolo Galassi. “The goal we have set ourselves is to expand our network to a hundred countries by 2025 for a widespread presence on five continents”.

And if the international vocation represents a cornerstone of Cevico, the national market remains central, so much so that last year the Italian channel recorded growth in the Horeca segment of +25% despite the difficult period.

Some new projects were presented at Vinitaly, starting from the Austo Romagna Doc Novebolle sparkling wine line in the panorama of a bubbles market that continues to grow. The project to valorise one of the symbolic vines of Romagna, Trebbiano, also goes in this direction, in an initiative that will be presented in Cesenatico at the end of May together with the operators of the Romagna Riviera.

A look also at the theme of innovation and diversification with alcohol-free wines addressed in an institutional meeting in which the president of Terre Cevico, Franco Donati, took part, who said: “It is an important slice of the market that we observe with great attention, even if it is essential to arrive at clear regulations on the production level that allow Italian producers to compete on an equal footing with other European countries”.
