Tinazzi: award‑winning sustainability

Tinazzi is awarded at the 2026 Sustainability Report Award for its ESG reporting in the small‑business category.

In Lazise, in the heart of the Verona area, the Tinazzi family adds a new chapter to its corporate story: the winery has been awarded for its reporting approach in the small‑business category at the 2026 Sustainability Report Award, promoted by Corriere della Sera – Buone Notizie in collaboration with NeXt – Nuova Economia per Tutti. A result that confirms the direction the company has taken: turning sustainability into a concrete pillar of its business model, rather than a simple narrative trend. Founded in 1968 and now led by Gian Andrea Tinazzi together with his children Francesca and Giorgio, the company owns over 60 hectares across Veneto, Tuscany and Puglia and reaches more than 50 markets worldwide. Hospitality is a fundamental element of the Tinazzi philosophy, with tasting experiences, cooking classes and activities dedicated to enhancing the local territory.

An award that highlights transparency and responsibility

Now in its fifth edition, the initiative involved more than 250 Italian companies, selecting the 40 most virtuous in ESG reporting. A recognition that rewards transparency, responsibility and the ability to integrate environmental, social and economic criteria into everyday business decisions.

“We welcome this recognition with gratitude and are truly proud of it. Sustainability is not a trend for us, but a concrete responsibility that guides our daily choices,” says Francesca Tinazzi, the company’s CEO, emphasising the importance of the award as motivation to continue along a structured and measurable path. “Our goal is to keep improving year after year, transparently measuring our impact and contributing to the sustainable development of the territory and the communities in which we operate.”

Tinazzi (R)Evolution: a journey that began in 2021

The award‑winning reporting approach is rooted in the Tinazzi (R)Evolution project, launched in 2021 and formalised through the annual publication of the Sustainability Report, available on the company’s website. A tool used to monitor results, progress and impacts across the three ESG dimensions.

This journey translates into tangible actions: from the adoption of a supplier code of conduct to ensure a more responsible supply chain, to environmental investments that represent a crucial part of the company’s strategy.

Investing in the environment: Tinazzi’s approach to sustainability

Among the most significant initiatives are those related to energy and water management. Today, 70% of the energy consumed by Tinazzi comes from photovoltaic sources, thanks to long‑term planning aimed at reducing environmental impact.

Equally innovative is the renewal of the wastewater treatment system using MBR – Membrane Bio Reactor technology, which allows the recovery and purification of wastewater, including that used for tank cleaning. A structural improvement that makes water resource management more sustainable—an especially sensitive issue in the wine sector.

For Tinazzi, sustainability goes beyond the environmental dimension: it extends to the company’s social role and its relationship with the community. Among the most impactful projects is the collaboration with the Tusini Institute in Bardolino, which led to the creation of a training programme dedicated to the cellar technician role, helping bridge the gap between young people and the world of work.

The company also supports the Jonian Dolphin Conservation, committed to the recovery of cetaceans in the Gulf of Taranto—an example of how biodiversity protection can align with social responsibility.
