Veraison Group ends 2025 on an upward trend, with a +7% increase in turnover and a strategic direction that blends industrial aggregation, enhancement of local identities and a strong push toward internationalisation. The holding company—active in wineries and proprietary distribution businesses and majority-owned by FreedL Group, the financial group of Edoardo Freddi—announces three strategic moves fully aligned with its 2025–2027 plan: entry into the capital of Cantine Alcesti in Sicily, completion of the joint venture with Vallebelbo in Piedmont, and the management takeover of the Conti Sertoli Salis brand in Valtellina. The stated goal is to build territorially rooted platforms capable of competing abroad without losing authenticity or value.
Sicily: Alcesti as a hub for Sicilian wine exports
The Cantine Alcesti operation, formalised on 28 November 2025, brings Veraison into the capital and into a structured partnership with the Marsala-based winery, set to become a strategic hub for Sicilian wine exports. The production base includes 50 hectares across Marsala, Mazara and Salemi, at altitudes between 100 and 280 metres, dedicated to native varieties such as Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d’Avola and Syrah. An 8,000 m² facility, 10,000 hl processing capacity and a bottling line of 3,000 bottles/hour define the industrial foundation on which to build volume growth and international positioning.
Langhe: Veraison Group’s joint venture with Vallebelbo
In parallel, Veraison has completed its joint venture with Vallebelbo, strengthening a vision centred on local governance and the role of grower-members. The Piedmontese cooperative continues to produce and promote Moscato d’Asti DOCG and the region’s key denominations, including Barbera, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, while integration with the Freddi-led holding introduces strategic, distribution and positioning expertise to boost competitiveness in foreign markets. The collaboration brings into the group more than 300 hectares of vineyards, around 100 growers, 4 million bottles per year and an industrial capacity with strong export potential. The stated outlook is to double commercialisation to 7–8 million bottles, supported by new formats and product lines.

Valtellina: international relaunch for an iconic brand
Completing the trio is the management of the Conti Sertoli Salis brand. Through Heroica Srl, Veraison aims to relaunch this iconic label—deeply tied to an extreme mountain territory of terraces, manual labour and a unique enological identity—on high-value international markets. The operation reflects the group’s strategy of investing in highly distinctive areas where cultural value and landscape become global competitive levers.
Edoardo Freddi’s vision for Veraison Group: intelligent aggregation and international ambition
“These operations represent more than an investment: they are an act of trust toward the territories, the people and their stories. We believe the future of Italian wine lies in intelligent aggregation: bringing together capital, vision and local identities allows us to build something no one could create alone. Sicily, Langhe and Valtellina are three extraordinary worlds—different yet complementary—that today speak with a new voice: one of courage, excellence and international ambition,” comments Edoardo Freddi, CEO of Veraison Group.
The three operations fit into a broader industrial development strategy aimed at building a national platform focused on internationalisation and brand development. This includes creating specialised production hubs, developing distinctive brands with strong international positioning and increasing distribution capacity in over 70 markets, with a focus on the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, South Korea, China, Vietnam and Australia. Expected benefits include strengthening the supply chain through investments in technology, sustainability and human resources, with an aggregation model that recognises the value of local expertise and territorial heritage, transforming them into long-term, competitive projects.
Veraison Group: 2026 outlook and upcoming operations
The development path continues in 2026 with additional operations to be announced in the coming months: two in the first quarter and one—of major significance—in the second. This confirms an active pipeline and growth anchored in key markets and identity-driven territories. In essence, Veraison is implementing an industrial strategy that combines scale, identity and distribution, aiming for international positioning aligned with the specific strengths of its territorial platforms.
