Villa Sandi returns to the snow of the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz, from 26 to 28 January, with a special Limited Edition of its Asolo Superiore Docg Extra Brut specially designed to celebrate the meeting with the most prestigious polo tournament globally. On the fields of the 39th World Cup the toast will be with the bubbles of the Moretti Polegato family, Official Partner of the event.

“I am proud to return to a location where you can breathe prestige and elegance, an atmosphere that Prosecco once again demonstrates its ability to match,” comments Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, president of Villa Sandi. “The limited edition of Asolo Superiore Docg, through its refined packaging, wants to tell the passion and values of a wise and enchanting discipline. But, above all, it wants to celebrate a partnership that has made it possible to enhance excellent production and the identity of a territory capable of surprising, whose know-how is confirmed as a vehicle for promotion in the world”.

The Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz was born in 1985 and still represents the only “high goal” tournament in the discipline. Six teams made up of the best performers in the world will compete on the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz, giving life to nine matches in the setting of the snow-capped peaks of the Engadine Valley. The event, which attracted over 18 thousand people in 2023, will also renew a program this year with gala dinners and entertainment opportunities, in collaboration with the most famous hotels in the town.

The link between Villa Sandi and the Snow Polo World Cup is therefore renewed for the third year. A partnership born in 2022 which has allowed the Asolo Superiore bubbles to establish themselves on a glamorous and fascinating stage, traditionally linked to the consumption of Champagne.

The Swiss hospitality and catering network immediately appreciated the quality and versatility of Venetian sparkling wine: Villa Sandi’s products were included in the wine lists of prestigious restaurants and hotels in the Upper Engadine town and beyond.

The positive reception from the St. Moritz public contributed to strengthening the presence of Prosecco throughout the Swiss country, demonstrating how the partnership with the famous tournament has contributed to the promotion of local products and Made in Italy in general.

Leading this distribution development was the Asolo Superiore Docg, the smallest of the denominations that makes up the multifaceted panorama of Treviso sparkling wines. A sparkling wine that comes from vineyards surrounded by woods, among silent valleys touched by urbanization that dot a landscape with a noble past shaped by the Venetian aristocracy. A production that is attracting more and more admirers, and which finds various points of contact with the Swiss market, sensitive to small productions of excellence and high quality.
