On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the first vintage of Cresasso, 2004, Zenato launches a series of celebratory events that highlight the deep connection between Corvina Veronese, the Valpolicella territory and the excellence of the Italian winemaking tradition. After the vertical tastings of the best historic vintages held last April at Vinitaly, the Veronese company continues the celebrations of the first 20 years of Cresasso with events dedicated to high-profile operators in the sector. The celebratory journey starts from Rome and Milan and continues in 2025, touching some of the most prestigious international venues: London, Canada and the US.
Cresasso 20th Anniversary Collection
To pay homage to this important milestone, the Cresasso 20th Anniversary Collection was born, a limited collection that includes three of the best historic vintages – 2006, 2008 and 2011 – carefully selected and kept in 300 numbered oak cases.
Three very different vintages, the result of the interpretation of the vintage: Millesimo 2006 elegance and refinement; Millesimo 2008 richness and opulence; Millesimo 2011 finesse and depth.
Each case contains an original silk scarf by Maison Mantero, a symbol of Italian textile excellence since 1902, in two different versions, depicting the iconic rock that stands in the center of the vineyard.
A precious scarf that evokes the essence of Cresasso: an enveloping wine with a unique personality.

Zenato’s homage to Corvina Veronese and the territory
“Corvina Veronese has always been the backbone of our work and of the identity of Valpolicella,” emphasizes Nadia Zenato, owner of the company. “It is the backbone of a great wine like Amarone, but it can also express its own character in its purity, with a modern and international stylistic approach, while maintaining a decidedly Veronese soul. With Cresasso we wanted to pay homage to this native vine, enhancing it in its purity to enhance its unique characteristics”.
Produced in the highest part of the Costalunga Estate in Valpolicella Classica, “Cresasso also tells the story of the challenge we wanted to take on at the Costalunga Estate to produce in an impervious area; the name itself recalls the stones that the land is rich in. Those stones that, working the land, we used for the dry stone walls, the marogne, respecting the ecosystem and created in perfect harmony with the environment”, continues Nadia Zenato.
Cresasso presents itself as an elegant and long-lived wine, perfect for long aging. Deep ruby red in color, it offers an enveloping bouquet with hints of red fruit and a mineral, savory structure with velvety tannins, which closes with a pleasantly long finish.
“Cresasso”, concludes Nadia Zenato, “is the symbol of the link between our past and our future, the testimony of the determination to tell the uniqueness of the territory through a wine that embodies its essence”.
