Red Montalcino, the fourth edition on June 20th: the program

The summer of the Consorzio del vino Brunello di Montalcino starts with sips of Rosso with Red Montalcino, the event entirely dedicated to the Doc scheduled for Friday 20 June at the medieval fortress of the Tuscan village. The youngest and most versatile soul of a territory known throughout the world, Rosso di Montalcino will be at the center of masterclasses, tastings, samplings and food pairings. Here is the agenda of the day and the wineries that will take part in the appointment with their labels.

The Red Montalcino program and the featured wineries

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the fourth edition of Red Montalcino will be “Fresh Perspectives: the rise of Rosso di Montalcino”, a tasting journey (4 pm, by invitation only) led by Master of Wine Sarah Heller who tells the story of the modernity and contemporaneity of Rosso di Montalcino.

At 6 pm, the Fortezza will also open its doors to wine lovers with the traditional walk around tasting with 62 producers. The event will continue with the food corners and their local, fusion and veggie gastronomic specialties (7:30 pm), the opening of the collective wine shop (9:30 pm) and the bartender and mixology space (10 pm).

The evening will be accompanied by the music of The Blend (8 pm) for a sound journey that blends rock and pop with great Italian and international hits from the 1960s to today. Red Montalcino closes under the stars with Botteghi’s DJ set (11 pm).

In case of bad weather the event will be postponed to the following day.
