Bevobianco, Bevorosa, Bevorosso: the wine line for New Gen comes from Maremma

Bevobianco, Bevorosa, Bevorosso: three names, a true vision. Pure and contemporary, these three wines make up a line designed to introduce New Gen to the authority of wine. They hail from the Maremma region and are produced by Arillo in Terrabianca, a prized winery “revived” in 2019 by the vision of the Burkard family. The winery divides its time between three fascinating Tuscan regions: Chianti Classico, Maremma—where the Bevo line is born on 40 hectares between the Tyrrhenian Sea and Massa Marittima—and Val d’Orcia.

“Quality and approachability can, and must, go hand in hand,” explains producer Adriana Burkard, describing three labels, currently on the market with the 2024 vintage, designed to appeal to consumers seeking a product capable of representing their homeland with naturalness and sensitivity.

Bevobianco, Bevorosa, Bevorosso: Arillo in Terrabianca designs a line for New Gen

Bevobianco is a cuvée of Chardonnay and Viognier; Bevorosa is obtained from a soft pressing of Sangiovese; Bevorosso is a pure Merlot. Three wines, available in fine wine shops, that pair perfectly with good company. Indeed, the common thread running through these three expressions is drinkability, expressed through freshness, minerality, and a sunny character. “They are intense wines that evoke emotions and spark thoughts,” emphasizes Adriana Burkard.

Sangiovese, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Viognier (along with other varieties) are grown on the Arillo in Terrabianca estate in Maremma, according to the principles of organic viticulture, in a typically Mediterranean climate and on mineral, gravelly soils.

A cheerfulness is also conveyed by the packaging of the three bottles, with the label visually translating Arillo’s philosophy in Terrabianca, founded on the symbiosis between man and nature. The work of the German artist Wolfgang Beltracchi, a contemporary, unconventional painter, depicts a detail of the “deer god” Cernunnos: an ancient Celtic deity of the woods and fertility, a symbol of renewal and abundance, traditionally depicted with deer antlers. This powerful image becomes the emblem of the project and gives depth and narrative coherence to the Bevo line.
