The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG Protection Consortium closes 2025 with 98 million bottles produced, marking an 8% increase compared to 2024. This achievement confirms the strength of the Denomination and its ability to convey the story of a territory recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
“The numbers with which we close 2025 are the result of a journey built over time, placing the territory, people, and quality at the center,” said Franco Adami, President of the Consortium.

Culture and Promotion: Wine as a Narrative
In 2025, the Consortium organized over 100 masterclasses in Italy and abroad, mainly targeting wine professionals, to deepen knowledge of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
Prestigious cultural partnerships were renewed, including the Venice Film Biennale, where the wine was the official sparkling wine of the International Film Festival, and the Premio Campiello Giovani with the project “Trame di Vite”, blending literature and viticulture.
Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG: International Presence and Key Markets
The Consortium strengthened its global footprint with events in eight countries and 17 cities, including Germany, the UK, Switzerland, France, Poland, Sweden, the USA, and Japan.
In the United States, Conegliano Valdobbiadene starred in masterclasses from Florida to California. The Consortium participated in major international wine fairs such as Wine Paris, ProWein, London Wine Fair, the first edition of Vinitaly USA in Chicago, and Expovina in Zurich.
A highlight of 2025 was the launch of a three-year partnership with the Institute of Masters of Wine, the world’s leading wine education body.
Looking Ahead: Challenges for 2026
For 2026, the Consortium will continue investing in communication strategies to showcase the uniqueness of the Denomination: its history, production method, heroic Rive vineyards, and the UNESCO core zone.
Priorities include strengthening ties with institutions such as Pris and Cervim, and focusing on non-European markets, particularly South America, to promote the authentic soul of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
