La Pettegola Limited Edition 2026, Banfi’s iconic Vermentino, unveils a completely new design created by illustrator Gio Quasirosso, the protagonist of the ninth edition of the artistic project that each year brings together wine and contemporary creativity. The label depicts two female figures immersed in a magical garden, wrapped in an intimate, suspended atmosphere. One of them, dressed as a little bird, whispers into her friend’s ear—a gesture that evokes the true spirit of “gossip” and gives life to an elegant, symbolic scene. Floral motifs and Art Nouveau references recall the grace of the Belle Époque, perfectly in tune with the delicacy and brightness of Banfi’s Vermentino.
La Pettegola Limited Edition 2026: the ninth edition of the project that unites wine and fine illustration
The inspiration for the label that colours the ninth edition of this special project comes from a childhood memory of the artist. As a child, he spent many days in his aunt’s hair salon, a place that felt almost magical, where he often heard clients begin a story with the phrase “a little bird told me…”. He truly imagined the existence of a tiny messenger, and when he discovered it wasn’t real, he felt genuinely disappointed. From that feeling came the idea for the label: a garden imagined as a symbolic place of wine and nature, an environment that conveys authenticity, confidences and a touch of enchantment.
The bird‑girl’s costume also draws inspiration from the protagonist of Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom, while the entire narrative structure follows the expressions of the two young women, as if they themselves were guiding the illustrator’s imagination.

Gio Quasirosso, an illustrator between auteur comics and global brands
Giovanni Esposito—known as Quasirosso—began his career after studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, working for underground magazines in Campania. In 2017 he launched the Facebook page “Quasirosso”, later gaining widespread recognition on Instagram thanks to the success of his illustrated strips. From 2019 to 2025 he published six graphic novels and an illustration collection with Feltrinelli Comics, while also collaborating on film campaigns for directors such as Guadagnino and Lanthimos. Today he works as an illustrator and content creator for global brands including Prada, Gucci, Apple and Disney, as well as for numerous Italian and international publishers.

La Pettegola Limited Edition, a prestigious collection: nine years of art on the bottle

Previous collaborations have included Alessandro Baronciani, Ale Giorgini, Riccardo Guasco, Elena Salmistraro, Van Orton, Noma Bar, Emiliano Ponzi and Elisa Seitzinger. A project that has transformed La Pettegola into a collection capable of uniting wine, design and contemporary visual culture.
The label comes to life through Augmented Reality
