A Volcanic Identity, Interpreted with Precision
Situated on the north-eastern slopes of Mount Etna, in the municipality of Linguaglossa, Ammura embodies a landscape where fire meets light and sea breezes temper altitude. This is Sicily in its most elemental expression — black volcanic sands, stratified lava flows, high elevations and dramatic temperature shifts.

Wine Paris marked the official debut of Liuni Etna Rosso DOC 2022, born from a single historic contrada: Alboretto–Chiuse del Signore, located at approximately 650 metres above sea level. This altitude, combined with ancient volcanic soils rich in mineral fragments and skeletal structure, ensures natural drainage, low yields and remarkable aromatic tension.
Strong diurnal variation and constant ventilation preserve freshness and allow the grape’s vertical personality to unfold with clarity. The result is an Etna Rosso that speaks in fine lines rather than bold gestures.
Ammura Liuni 2022: Vertical, Layered, Distinctive
Crafted entirely from 100% Nerello Mascalese, Liuni 2022 reflects what many critics consider the most compelling expression of Etna Rosso DOC today: elegance over power, structure over density, precision over opulence.
The 2022 vintage unfolded under balanced and favourable conditions, allowing for harmonious ripening and optimal phenolic maturity. In the glass, Liuni reveals a vertical and stratified profile, where purity of fruit is interwoven with mineral tension. The palate is refined and dynamic, supported by silky tannins and vibrant acidity that lend both momentum and longevity.
Limited to just 2,500 bottles, Liuni underscores its artisanal nature and its positioning within the premium segment of Mount Etna wines — increasingly sought after by collectors, sommeliers and fine-wine investors.
