Herita Marzotto Wine Estates is strengthening its presence in the United States and expanding its vineyard holdings in Oregon through a new strategic acquisition in the region that has become a symbol of American Pinot Noir. Roco Winery, a company fully owned by Herita USA, has announced the acquisition of the vineyard estate of Domaine Lumineux in the renowned Dundee Hills, the beating heart of the Willamette Valley and one of the region’s most prestigious areas. A new investment that confirms the central role of the U.S. market in the growth strategy of Herita Marzotto Wine Estates.
A strategic acquisition in the heart of the Dundee Hills for Roco Winery
The operation completed by Herita Marzotto Wine Estates in Oregon covers a total of 24 hectares along Hilltop Lane, 16.6 of which are planted with vineyards. It is one of the most highly suited areas in the entire Willamette Valley, located at an elevation between 204 and 265 meters above sea level.
The new property lies less than two kilometres from the site where the first Pinot Noir vines were planted in the region in 1965, adding historical significance to its agronomic value.
With this acquisition, Roco Winery—already a benchmark in the state for traditional‑method sparkling wines as well as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay—strengthens its presence in the region’s most renowned AVAs, including Chehalem Mountains, Yamhill‑Carlton and Dundee Hills.
The Domaine Lumineux brand and the Newberg tasting room will continue to operate under the current ownership, while the total vineyard area controlled by Roco Winery now reaches 44.5 hectares.

The fourth investment by Herita Marzotto Wine Estates in the Willamette Valley
This acquisition is part of a multi‑year strategy that has seen Herita Marzotto Wine Estates expand into Oregon’s super‑premium AVAs since 2021. After the purchase of Roco Winery in 2021, the group acquired vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains in 2023 and the Marsh Estate property in Yamhill‑Carlton in 2025.
“This latest acquisition reaffirms our confidence in the potential of the Willamette Valley and Oregon wine production more broadly,” explains Andrea Conzonato, CEO of Herita Marzotto Wine Estates. “On one hand, market signals remain encouraging, especially for sparkling wines and Pinot Noir; on the other, this important purchase gives Roco Winery access to some of the finest sites in the Dundee Hills, further strengthening our commitment to producing top‑tier wines from Oregon’s most renowned AVAs.”
The year 2026 will also mark the debut of Casa Roco, a new hospitality venue dedicated to the Roco brand and to a selection of Italian wines from the Herita USA portfolio. The project will enhance the group’s presence in the U.S. market, with the aim of creating a cultural and experiential bridge between the great Italian winemaking traditions and those of Oregon.
