Baglio di Pianetto presents Shùmè, the new sparkling wine that celebrates the conviviality and vitality of Sicilian summers. The project is rooted in the estate’s deep connection with the Arbëreshë community of Santa Cristina Gela and Piana degli Albanesi, recognized by UNESCO as intangible heritage. Shùmè — an Arbëreshë word meaning “a lot,” and echoing the Sicilian “sciuma,” the sea foam — becomes an homage to a living culture and to a territory shaped by hills, wind and Mediterranean light.
The packaging, inspired by Mondello beach, conveys the same energy: a transparent bottle, a bright label and an essential, respectful production approach. With this new wine, Baglio di Pianetto continues its mission to enhance tradition and reinterpret it through a contemporary lens, speaking also to younger generations.
