It is now time to countdown to World Lambrusco Day, the event created by the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco that on June 21st celebrates the red bubbles from Emilia in the most evocative places in the country and the world. The 2025 edition will be hosted by a breathtaking natural setting: the Aosta Valley, in particular the Pavillon/The Mountain station of the Skyway Monte Bianco that allows you to reach the highest point in Italy. Here, from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday June 21st, tourists and wine lovers will be able to access a tasting stand for a high-altitude tasting dedicated to the many expressions of Lambrusco Doc.

Tasting on Mont Blanc for World Lambrusco Day on June 21
From sparkling to spumante, from Metodo Martinotti to Metodo Classico and refermented in the bottle, on the occasion of World Lambrusco Day on June 21, the different souls of the red bubbles from Emilia will be represented in a tasting experience not to be missed, immersed in the peaks.
Professional sommeliers will coordinate this moment, remaining available to visitors to serve and describe the wines of 19 wineries in Modena and Reggio Emilia: Albinea Canali, Bertolani Alfredo, Cantina di Carpi and Sorbara, Cantina Formigine Pedemontana, Cantina Gualtieri, Cantina San Martino in Rio, Cantina Santa Croce, Cantina Puianello, Cantina Settecani, Casali Viticultori, Caviro, Corte Manzini, Francesco Bellei & C., Lombardini, Medici Ermete, Paltrinieri, Tenuta Galvana Superiore, Umberto Cavicchioli and F., Ventiventi.
But that’s not all. In addition to the tasting program open to the public, World Lambrusco Day will also include an invitation-only session reserved for industry professionals. As is now tradition, this part of the activity will be directed by Gabriele Gorelli, the first Italian Master of Wine who has been at the forefront of the Lambrusco DOC rediscovery for years. He will be responsible for highlighting its nuances and qualities, guiding the industry professionals present in the masterclass “The irrepressible lightness of Lambrusco”.
There will also be other in-depth insights during the day, thanks to a round table entitled “Lightness is modernity: chefs, sommeliers and producers compared”: a moment of dialogue on new languages and perspectives of contemporary taste between leading figures in the world of wine and catering, including chefs Heinz Beck and Paolo Griffa, sommelier Pascal Tinari, as well as the young producers of the Consortium.
“We wanted World Lambrusco Day 2025 to represent not only a moment of discussion between professionals, but also an engaging experience open to the public,” explains Claudio Biondi, president of the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco. “The tasting stand set up at the Pavillon/The Mountain station will be an opportunity to involve visitors from all over Italy and offer them our most representative labels in a suggestive context, offering an experience to remember.”
The initiative is promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco together with Enoteca Regionale Emilia-Romagna, with the support of Valle D’Aosta Heritage, Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta and Castello Reale di Sarre. Technical sponsors: Consorzio Fontina Dop, Consorzio Vini Valle d’Aosta, Consorzio Parmigiano Reggiano.
